Game Thread Spurs (8-2) vs Warriors (6-6) (Wed 11/12/25) [7:00PM CDT]

Just bring Champ back to the starting lineup and make Fox come off the bench. He can school the bench fodder until he's back in rhythm. Dude isn't ready.

Don't make me move you to my unserious member tier.
I'm not going to Fox is washed up that would be silly. But what I will say is if you look at the history of guards who rely on speed and when they do actually decline the first thing you notice is they cannot even remotely get around larger athletic players. When the Warriors put Kuminga on Fox it legit looked like my youngest son trying to score against me he was completely helpless. I'm not close to hitting the panic button but I did put Fox in the "let me pay attention to him against larger athletic players who he can't just blow by" category and we will start taking some notes from this point forward.

Coaches also did him no favors it's like they in Fox can do it alone will figure it out mode.

The thing that Wemby does where he gets to within three feet of the basket and tries to pass it off has really got to stop. You’re passing up a great shot for a worse shot by a player not as good as you. Stop that shit.

I know you want the Spurs to succeed, that's not in question. But I don't get this narrative. It looks like he follows pretty much every player on the Spurs, and his post-game interview the other night (after you were saying he seemed detached from the team) was the exact opposite of that.

He's been on the sidelines and cheering for every game this year before he was playing (including pre-season). Maybe you're right, but I think this is fabricated.
Luckily the Spurs are not your typical organization that would handle this swiftly. They’re going to handle this with class, patience, and will probably counter his pouting with kindness. To the point that he’ll probably revert back to caring about the team and winning. That’s if what my gut says is true - this is all speculation, man. I’ve pointed out signs, and it’s a matter of how people will read them. Tonight’s pisspoor showing along with his poor body language and lack of effort just adds fuel to the fire.

The offensive rebounds by Payton were the game tbh. I don't love sticking with the double big lineup during the stretch, would have just gone with Champ over Luke.

mavs game aside there's mounting evidence that mitch doesn't yet know how to coach the team with a double-digit lead.

these guys consistently stop doing the basics on both ends up 10+ point. should've lost because of it in chicago and did lose because of it tonight.
nah. If you watch any basketball game usually both teams get up by 10 or more at some point, which is why i find it funny people lose their shit cause the spurs blew a 16 point lead, me included. Then if you watch 4 more basketball games the same night you will see 8 teams blow somewhere between a 10 and 20 point lead at some point. It's the nature of play fast as you can take the first open 3 you get basketball.

OKC are the reigning champs and every single game they're playing as if it's the finals.
Currently up 30 on the Lakers and the half isn't even over.

OKC gonna 5peat tbh. They have upcoming draft picks from LAC and DAL, both unprotected I think :st-lol:

Again, chalking this up to lack of offensive chemistry. 1. Castle foul trouble 2. Fox very off night 3. Wemby doesn’t have go-to moves inside the 3pt line, so GSW takes advantage off missed buckets. We suck again at defending the 3, and they’ve got Steph Curry. We got too cute with our lead - a lot of silly unforced TOs. Hence, nothing out of our Big 3 on offense to calm the storm in the moments that mattered.

The thing is that it's been happening way too much in our games and we're just 11 games into the season.

Hopefully Kuminga plays on Friday. It's clear how much all of his teammates hate him tbh :st-lol:

If we lose on Friday, it might be for the best to shut the forum down until the Kings game. :st-lol:

It's literally going to happen in at least 80% of the games we play, because it happens around that many times in every basketball game that is played. :ROFLMAO:

It only didn't happen in the mavs game and they are easily the worst team we played they already fired the GM and now the owner is demanding medical proof AD won't hurt his calf again if he plays :ROFLMAO:.

I hope not I don't need to see him making Fox look like a child running from godzilla when he guards him again :st-lol:

I said it earlier.

Teams are going to come at us with their best, which is a good thing.

This team won't reach contender level without the grind (pounding the rock).

Couldn’t watch most of the second half but based on the box score it was more of the same.

Fox hurting the team, wemby turnover prone, castle trying to carry, and the warriors stopped being uncharacteristically cold from 3 which we got away with early.

Hope we bounce back for the cup game Friday

We are all guessing and projecting onto these teams to some extent. That said, I totally have the same gut reaction that you do. There are too many plays to even mention. It wasn't just tonight, but, every game I've just seen him take multiple plays off. He needs to find ways to contribute.

He's a guard, at heart.

Also it's nice to see people going nuclear cause this team is 8 - 3 and not 9 - 2 cause I remember when we were posting in threads riding out the longest consecutive losing streak in franchise history and only the pistons doing it in league history kept us under the radar. We haven't melted down like this over an 8 - 3 team since the beautiful game cause the last time we were ever 8 - 3 was the beautiful game.

We are so back baby:st-cry: I almost wish Mitch would give a Pop like post game interview where he is extremely condescending and talks about how we didn't respect the game and play the right way tonight :st-cry:

So many times already this year where the Spurs go up 15 in the 2nd quarter and then start sniffing their own farts and it ends up being like a 5 point game at halftime. Usually turnovers and dumb early shots play heavily into it. Coach needs to pull guys when they get into "feeling themselves" mode.

8 turnovers from Wemby? Thought he get those out of his system in the preseason...

Some consistent wing play would really be nice I must say.

Not gonna pile on Fox yet, this is his preseason still.

warriors were 1-6 on the road before tonight. they haven't had anything close to the kind of points swing away from home this season.

basketball being a game of runs doesn't justify blowing a 26-point lead at home against the nets in barely 10 minutes either.
