Game Thread Spurs (8-2) vs Warriors (6-6) (Wed 11/12/25) [7:00PM CDT]

Everything was fine until Castle got into foul trouble. They started getting lazy and once the Warriors got back into the game it was over. Shouldn't be losing to what I would consider old scrubs at this point. Fox was useless out there. He definitely killed the chemistry. The fact that Fox and Castle struggle from the 3 point line has shown it's face today. Harper is the guy, but he won't be taking the reins for another year or so. It's just one bad game, but pretty disappointed they just let Golden State start believing in themselves and steal the game. Definitely gonna have to figure out how to work these chess pieces knowing you have 3 scorers but none of them are shooters that being Fox, Castle, and Harper. Fox being the weakest link as the other two know how to distribute the rock.

I hate the warriors and the loss is frustrating but there’s still so much season to figure shit out. We aren’t winning the title this year so I don’t get all this beat OKC/ we can compete with OKC talk. Wemby will be fine. Fox will be fine. Just enjoy the ride, tbh.

Why didn't Fox play? Oh wait...never mind. Castle getting a bullshit foul with Curry charging into him was the writing on the wall

Curry got more FTA than the Spurs did, right?

Honestly until we collectively decide as a team to "sell" fouls like EVERY OTHER GOOD TEAM IN THE NBA, we're never going to be a serious team. That's literally all the Warriors did tonight and all the Thunder are doing right now.

i dunno...i think there are certain 'anointed' teams that are going to get calls regardless. i mean look at donkey and the brazen shit he gets away with. curry, whatever, superstar players get crazy calls, but donkey doesn't have the kind of skill to justify being treated the way he gets treated by the refs..pisses me off

mavs game aside there's mounting evidence that mitch doesn't yet know how to coach the team with a double-digit lead.

these guys consistently stop doing the basics on both ends up 10+ point. should've lost because of it in chicago and did lose because of it tonight.
Definitely an early concern here..Pelicans & Nets are getting destroyed by everyone by mid 3r quarter and only Spurs have seemingly been unable to put them away (twice against Pels)..And it happened in all our games..We Can't blow open a game after going up +10 so we haven't been able to send the scrubs.in.

As soon as Victor waved his arms defending Green, he got an offensive foul called. Except he only did it once in the game.

The Warriors have been setting bulldozer screens since Andrew Bogut, so that doesnt surprise me. Every touch foul was called only one way. Frustrating game. Fuck the Spurs for shitting away a good lead in the first half.

Also it's nice to see people going nuclear cause this team is 8 - 3 and not 9 - 2 cause I remember when we were posting in threads riding out the longest consecutive losing streak in franchise history and only the pistons doing it in league history kept us under the radar. We haven't melted down like this over an 8 - 3 team since the beautiful game cause the last time we were ever 8 - 3 was the beautiful game.

We are so back baby:st-cry: I almost wish Mitch would give a Pop like post game interview where he is extremely condescending and talks about how we didn't respect the game and play the right way tonight :st-cry:
Seconded this.

The meltdown we are currently experiencing (and this is by far the worst loss of the season, IMO) is a sign of health. God it feels good to a team with expectations again.

It's not about the record, it's about the way we lost this game in particular, and a trend we've seen in previous games as well.

Game Grades thread is going to be fun to put together… unload in the comments, friends. Let the Game Grades form be your therapist!

Mitch’s post game press conference.

@OK Computer - just going with your theory, what do you make of Mitch’s comments about Fox? Is that him trying to keep it out of the media and address it directly with De’Aaron? Or are they just going to baby him the way the refs do with Draymond?

Also, pretty sharp answer to Tynan’s Sochan question. It’s clear this dude is way out of the rotation and favor. I bet he’s on the block.

Defense has to be more disciplined tbh. Teams are shown plenty of vids before the season. They know what's going to be called and whatnot.

If Castle or Fox could hit a 3, we'd be having a different discussion.

At the game tonight. That little stretch before halftime where Wemby did not play great was huge. Spurs should’ve been up by double digits imo. I love Fox, but he played like ass and Castle was probably the first or second best player, but he had those three off ball fouls which were huge. I still give him a 4+ for the game but he was not as effective in the second half for sure. I think you can chalk up this loss this up Fox being ass, sloppy turnovers, poor defense in the second half, and the Warriors getting hot from three. Victor disappointed in the second half as well. A real bummer but I expect Friday to be different.

God Damn the officials were shit tonight. Worse than usual.

Let the fucking Warriors do whatever they wanted, Spurs get raped and no call. Couple that with the inability to hit the side of a fucking barn and thats a recipe for disaster.

Watch we get Tony Brothers Friday. Fuck my life.

Lol...Well, it didn't take long for this place to turn into SpursTalk.

36-12. That's the story of the game right there.

Golden State shot zero free throws in the first quarter. Zero. The Spurs shot 2. Wemby and Castle had zero fouls in the first quarter. Castle got 3 fouls in less than 5 minutes of play in the second.

GSW shot 36 in Q2, Q3, Q4. The Spurs shot 10.

Curry gets 22 points in the 3rd quarter and shoots 9 free throws.

Spurs jumped out to a big lead. Then, the officials got involved and made it impossible for them to play their game. By the end of the 3rd quarter, they've put the Spurs in a hole they can't climb out of. That's all you need to know.

Everything else is bullshit.

Predictable L tbh.

This team takes the foot off the gas every time they have a good stretch of basketball. I don't know if it's arrogance thing but they need to realize that they're not head and shoulders above the competition. Gotta stay sharp and play hard for 48 minutes tbh.
They are in the image of their best player. Went 10+ and Wemby started attempting circus moves with the ball destroying the momentum heading to half giving the Warriors life where they should be throwing punches at each other's in that toxic lockeroom. This is what bugs me the most about Wemby: he needs to be taking veteran advice from smooth killers like Duncan instead of loudmouths and fake tough guys like KG.

In the end of it all though if Fox is just 6 points and couple less turnovers better the spurs win that game. If he doesn’t bounce back on Friday it’s duces tbh

Interesting, so trade Fox if he has another bad game on Friday? :st-lol:

I am so beyond tired of players like Fox watching the ball when their man doesn't have the ball on defense. That's why our perimeter defense is so horrific, our guys get lost ball watching constantly.
