Game Thread Spurs (8-2) vs Warriors (6-6) (Wed 11/12/25) [7:00PM CDT]

I think it will be a combination of Fox and Castle on Curry. If Curry goes nuts it will be Castle. Devon can take care of Butler if need be.

Fox on Podz
Castle on Curry
Vassell on Butler

one of the things Castle has actually been worse at this year is not committing defensive fouls. would rather not have him get baited by Butler the way he did Booker if there is another perimeter player we can have him defend instead
I know everybody and their cousins hate him, but Sochan can be useful on both Curry and Butler.

absolutely. if there's one thing we can all agree on its that sochan is a good perimeter defender. i'd like him on butler. but how many minutes is he going to play? think we are talking about assignments for the guys expected to play 30+

Eh. Denver took them to 7 with MPJ playing with one arm and gordon playing on one leg. Pacers took them to 7 and might have won the chip if their franchise player didn't get hurt.

They had one of the least dominant playoff runs in recent memory. Don't know why everyone is so afraid of them. If Gordon and MPJ are healthy Denver would have knocked them off in 6. Let's see them get that lucky again this year.
The problem with Denver in that matchup against OKC is always Murray. if Murray plays to his strength, Denver would have won in 7

Butler would run through Vassell, can't have that matchup.
I'd rather have Vassell on Green than Butler.

Fuck the warriors - still my most hated team in history - even more than the shaq/kobe lakers...

Id like to see two blowouts in a row tbh
The only 3 teams I’ve truly hated in my 25 years as a real die hard NBA fan.

2000-2004 Lakers
2008-2011 Lakers
2015-current Warriors

No other teams come close.

I’ll come take my medicine, and admit my mistake.

That being said, that was the dumbest chart in the history of dumb charts. If I were still on Twitter, I’d be all in the comments, assuming they haven’t turned them off at this point.

Did you miss the top banner label that was highlighted? It says NET RATING. The horizontal axis is labeled O, therefor the vertical must be D, or all of the teams would be in a horizontal line strictly based on Ortg.

The purpose of this diagram IS to show that all of the east teams are mid, or absolutely dogshit.
Bruh you always prove that you never read or listen to anything. Not even a simple chart with less than 15 words…

Dray making comments accusing teammates of not giving 100% on every possession (Kuminga?) right before SA faces them twice in a row is some poor timing for the Spurs. Hope GSW doesn't get too fired up from that

This is what I'm fearing.

Shut the fuck up. I took my medicine. You’re just being your usual jerk self and piling on.

Nope, no hate. I kinda like the dude even if he's not the sharpest tool

I hate the importance he had (still has?) in the project, how he was always put in the core players when he showed so many limitations, how incompatible he is with Wemby etc

However, like I said yesterday, we'd need him vs SGA or Luka type of players to save Castle (who indeed has taken Sochan's usual task bc of his elite perimeter D) from early foul trouble.

Sochan is great to have but as a 7th 8th option at best, to use as a defensive plug in and energy/cutting guy when needed. Not sure if he nor his defenders see himself that way tho

Those are my top 3 most hated teams of all time. All 3 were insufferable when they won titles with all the salt they rubbed in.

Agreed. I found the Raptors insufferable in the aftermath of being gifted Leonard and Green and will always root against the Clippers so long as the former remains with them, but hate is a bridge too far.

Unfortunately, the Warriors are due to win a game(s) and will probably do so tonight comfortably.

Any other team than the Spurs winning the title is unsufferable to me. Just extra hate for the western teams

Yes. The Warriors are in my most hated tier due to them losing to LeBron, begging KD to join them, and then acting like they didn't need him.

they beat lebron in 2015, won 72 games and were up 3-1 in 2016. i think its safe to say they didn't "need" KD to win

KD joining the warriors kind of just broke the league tbh. in 2017 they went 16-1 in the playoffs. in 2018 houston did take them to 7, including going up 3-2... but otherwise they still dominated the regular season and swept in the finals\

i hated durant more than i hated those warriors in general. and that era of 4 straight years of Warriors/Cavs ended up being boring. the east was a desolate wasteland and durant joining the warriors was just stupid and tilted the balance of the league. ive always liked curry/klay, and even draymond (except when he goes WWE)

They only beat the Cavs due to Klove/Kyrie injuries.

It sort of evened out with the Raptors beating them because of injuries to KD/Klay, but that still fucking sucked due to obvious reasons.

im sorry man winning 73 games or whatever they did tells me they were plenty dominant before Durant lol

Don’t forget those Jason Terry Mav teams. Nut shot on Fin year in particular.

6'3/6'5/6'5/6'7/6'5
That's the Warriors lineup.
I want to see a blowout.

The 2013 Warriors gave the '13 Spurs a hell of a fight in the playoffs and that was before the true rise of their Big 3. They probably win that series if Kerr was the coach tbh.

KD pussin' out and joining them is like if D-Rob decided to join the '96 Bulls

Dubs gonna come out fighting for their lives. Just survive the first few haymakers and settle in and we should pull out the W. GSG.
