Game Thread Spurs (8-2) vs Warriors (6-6) (Wed 11/12/25) [7:00PM CDT]

Story of the game: Fox quit on the team
And Wemby thought he's way better than he actually is.
Late in 2nd we could've blown them out, he turned it over twice with passes he knew were near-impossible to make and he took two contested 3pts for an unknown reason.
Should've been up 20 or close to it at the half.

Fox played one of the worst games I've seen a max player play, but he's got the rust excuse.
Wemby has been fucking around in almost every single game.
It's not even about missing shots or playing badly, it's like he has an unserious switch and doesn't want to win games convincingly.
Then come the 4th he turns it on, but it was too late. If he was locked in the first half, it would've been an easy game.

And it's not just one game, it's going to add up over the season and we'll end up with 3 wins less than we should've and then people will complain when we get fucked over by the seeding on the last day of the season and get eliminated by Denver in the first round.

With Wemby controlling the paint I don't understand how bad we are at guarding the 3.
This.

Long story short, lack of discipline and height.

If anyone fouls a player driving to the basket when Wemby is there, it's incredibly stupid.

Lack of offensive flow was depressing to watch. Castle has been leading the team in that department. His foul trouble was the beginning of the end. Fox shitting the bed couldn’t fill the void.

You've been pushing this narrative since he's been back. Wondering what your agenda is.

It's possible he had a really bad game.
You think I like this outcome? I really don’t. I want the Spurs to succeed and the only way they’ll reach their highest ceiling is with him bought in. If what I’m saying is true, it’s a big, big setback. When I learned that he’s the only Spur not following the official Spurs IG, I knew something was off tbh. He’s only here professionally, and I feel like it would be different if the Spurs didn’t draft Harper - like he’d actually want to be part of the team. Remember karaoke night after the scrimmage? Dude was standing in the back. In every group huddle he’s not being vocal. The signs are all there. It’s one thing to be eased in slowly as he’s returning from an injury, but it’s another thing to just look like he doesn’t want to be a leader of the team.

I didn't watch the game but judging by the boxscores this seems like the typical game the Warriors have won the last few years against a young inexperience team. Draymond hacks the shit out of whatever foreign bigman he's guarding ala Sabonis, Sengun, and in this game Victor and through roughing up the big contains him. Warriors also get a heroic performance from Steph where turns back the clock with a 40 plus game and then they win. I have seen this obnoxious shit happen in the playoffs against the Kings, and Rockets.

Warriors are not good enough to be contenders anymore. They will get curb stomped by either the Thunder or Nuggets but they have the ability to upset any inexperienced team in a first round matchup. If the Spurs have a high seed hopefully they don't run into them or they will have the same faith the Kings, Rockets had the last few years when dealing with them.

That Fox and Wemby pick and roll would be deadly if Fox and Wemby knew how to play together. Literally loos like two strangers when they're on the court together.

Kornet and Fox is equally as awkward.

In the 2nd period, gsw started to show fire, at half & on, mitch did nuthn!!

one of the worst reffed games I’ve seen in a long time. Has Mitch ever gotten a technical? He should have been on the refs for the bullshit calls butler and curry were getting

Think some of you guys are being a little harsh on Wemby. It was by no means a perfect game but acting like he’s one of the main ones to blame for this loss seems a little overboard to me.

Whatever. Hopefully this makes them come more correct on Friday and we get a win in the NBA Cup game.

I just hope Fox doesnt turn into PG version of LMA.

Wow wemby and step had both triple doubles a d spurs still loss

Nah its that even with Wemby guarding the paint we have perimeter players who stupidly collapse anyway and leave people open. It happens like 20 times a game. Just stop doing that and we will be fine. When a player drives to the lane just say "so" let Victor handle it and stay on your man.

Warriors have been playing like shit last few games. Then they turn it up against us and punk us.Our coachalso needs to
take a fine and call out the fouls against us.Seemed so biased.

Those Ls are the worst tbh, just beat ourselves low IQ types smh

Mitch is on you in part and Fox hasn't even started his extension if I'm not mistaken.

I need a splif right now

When Wemby just makes the simple play like in the last 2.5 quarters of the Houston game he's unguardable. Frustrating watching him overcomplicate things.

mavs game aside there's mounting evidence that mitch doesn't yet know how to coach the team with a double-digit lead.

these guys consistently stop doing the basics on both ends up 10+ point. should've lost because of it in chicago and did lose because of it tonight.
