I know he played like shit. That’s what I’m saying. It’ll be all right. He should mainly be disgusted with himself. Right now he is Sengun and Sheppard's little bitch - until he emphatically proves otherwise.
That's partly my frustration talking. Sorry.I like your passion lol. He'll bounce back and hopefully turn the tables next Wednesday in Houston.
This honestly concerns me. I truly believe Spurs might ride with Mitch and waste years of development even if he doesn’t get better.Oh, believe you me man, Coach Stitch's job is safe 100%, NO MATTER WHAT. That's not who we are.
He’s spot-on though. Refs indeed were gargling tonightWhat meaningful commentary you provide, per usual.
This is true which is fucking annoying.Y'all know damn well mitch will be here for another 10 years at least. That's how the Spurs operate, he's not an interim coach.
Spurs are ran like a good boys club. We're lucky (or unlucky depending how you see it long term) that the ping-pong balls love us.This honestly concerns me. I truly believe Spurs might ride with Mitch and waste years of development even if he doesn’t get better.
Nothing about him says NBA coach. We never respond well to adversity, we can’t keep leads, our play out of TOs and quarters is always flat, we nearly never make in game adjustments, we always play the same ppl at the same time regardless of who’s hot, players doing well ridin the bench while we lose leads, senseless rotations. We’ve struggled with the exact same things the entire year with no improvement, individuals have struggled with the same thing without game plan changes or usage changes, it’s old and frustrating.
I can’t say one good thing about him lately honestly, and I know we’re stuck with him at least 3-4 more years no matter what unless Wemby makes a fuss which I doubt he will.
Agree. Which is funny coming from someone who once said something bout "ethical" basketball.Nah, it's on him partly. He's selling some of the non-contacts with egregious flopping I'm starting to think he's developed a terrible reputation among refs league-wide. All that flailing and falling has turned him into boy crying wolf in the eyes of the officials.
To play a little bit of devil’s advocate, this is part of the problem with being “ahead of schedule”. Mitch is out of his depth because these are waters he wasn’t supposed to be in. He was supposed to learn to swim with the rest of the team… problem is, the rest of the team turned out to be natural swimmers. This honestly concerns me. I truly believe Spurs might ride with Mitch and waste years of development even if he doesn’t get better.

I mean we were on pace for a .500 season even before the Fox trade, did they really expect this not to be a playoff team?To play a little bit of devil’s advocate, this is part of the problem with being “ahead of schedule”. Unfortunately, I don’t think the FO has the courage to see what’s happening and bring in the coach more appropriate for where the team is at, so we are going to have to wait for Mitch & Co to catch up.
I mean they hired a fucking kid for some reason. God forbid they brought someone in from the outside. The Spurs org. is so insular it's radicicolousTo play a little bit of devil’s advocate, this is part of the problem with being “ahead of schedule”. Pop should've been shot into the sun when he started Bryn Forbes over White/DejounteI mean we were on pace for a .500 season even before the Fox trade, did they really expect this not to be a playoff team?
Then we go back to the issue of Pop overstaying his welcome.
We should've had a new coach in 2021 or 2022, he'd be up to speed by now.
Everyone expectation, even optimistic Spurs fans and Wemby himself, was to compete for a Top 6 seed in the west, not to have the 3rd best record in the league.I mean we were on pace for a .500 season even before the Fox trade, did they really expect this not to be a playoff team?

It is a very weird schedule… we’ve played a lot of games bunched together, and now we’re about to play 4 games in 10 daysI want y'all to look at the spurs schedule this year and tell me with a straight face it's not bullshit.
Coaching. It's not that we shot 3s, but that half of those were stepbacks and off the dribble.
We just decided their size is too much for us and that we don't even want to attack the paint.
KD gets a free fastbreak layup after Castle missed a stepback 3 over him and didn't bother to come back.
DFS gets a free layup because noone bothered to run back on defense after Barnes blocked Sheppard on the fastbreak.
Castle defends Amen well and then decides he can play 1v1 and gets blocked, easy basket on the other side.
I can go on and on, we literally gave up at least 20 possessions with low IQ and low effort plays.
This honestly concerns me. I truly believe Spurs might ride with Mitch and waste years of development even if he doesn’t get better.

We're just a couple of Ls ahead of that top6 battle.Everyone expectation, even optimistic Spurs fans and Wemby himself, was to compete for a Top 6 seed in the west, not to have the 3rd best record in the league.
