Game Thread Spurs (13-5) @ Timberwolves (11-8) (Sun 11/30/25) [6:00PM CDT]

Every single team knows they can easily generate wide open threes against this team tbh. Spurs have been able to survive thus far but long-term they won't. Wemby and Castle coming back wont fix this. The coaching staff needs to have a long film session and start calling everyone out.
Yeah even with Wemby manning they paint, they still managed to leave open 3s. I dont get it at this point.

I have to watch other NBA games to see if others are worse

the problem tonight has been players trying to help by doubling but giving too much space on their direct opponent

what a terrible day..Spurs play like shit with no heart and lose. And atl shows heart and gets another win to rise in the east.

Feel like that’s the story every night. Unnecessary or lazy helping off of guys who are good shooters + not fighting through screens worth a damn.

Thats been a problem for years, even with the best rim protector in NBA history manning the paint. Something Pop in all his wisdom instituted years ago that has done far more harm than good when it comes to developing the team's defense.

I’m being harsh but when he’s getting paid what he is he’s gotta find a way to score (like getting to the line).

hopefully Wemby and castle are back this week team is in trouble
agreed but when three point shooters cannot throw the ball in the ocean, the opponent is packing the paint making it more difficult for your self, he still managed to shoot 10-15

Give us Wemby and Castle and I like our chances vs T-Wolves

Seems rebounding and guarding the 3 is this Teams biggest achillies heel. Well atleast without Wemby and Castle.

That's just Minny's 2nd win of the season against a team with a winning record.

Philly does themselves no favors. In the first OT with 6 seconds left, Maxey has two free throws to go up by 4 and misses both. On the other end, all they need to do is defend without fouling, but they foul with 0.3 seconds left. I guess you could call it ATL showing heart, or just Philly getting what they deserve. Tie game, and Philly falls apart in the second OT.

It's really annoying because one would assume that leaving the perimeter open should mean we get more rebounds.

I think that Kornet misses Wemby, he plays so much better with Wemby around

Gotta believe fatigue also played a factor tonight. Short handed, end of a road trip… it’s not surprising.

Still happy with this road trip.
Disagree on fatigue being a factor; they've played 4 games in 10 days. Agreed that I'm happy with 2-2; legit thought they'd go 0-4 tbh.

Yep, this was exactly it.

Fox was getting into the paint with ease in the first half… but the Wolves figured out we couldn’t hit anything from 3 tonight and they just devoted the defense to stopping De’Aaron. It was a solid adjustment by them and we couldn’t execute to make them pay.

I'm happy with the road trip myself, but surely there's some trade we can make packaging Sochan + lw or bismack and 2nd's for a useful piece.

His career high is 18mpg.
He's at 24mpg this season, his productivity drops when he has to play more than 15 minutes.

The travel still takes its toll though, and the schedule had us bouncing around between time zones, not like we had any short legs like a CA road trip
