Game Thread Spurs (5-0) @ Suns (2-4) (Sun 11/02/25) [7:00PM CDT]

Spurs did well to start +5 wins with the absences of Fox, Oly and Sochan with Kornet missing some too. It was always going to eventually unravel at the gaps in depth. Time to reassess holding back players who may be healthy enough vs. catching Ls

Just when we thought he ascended that rarefied tier of night-in, night-out excellence of the Jokic, prime Timmy, Lebron of the world. Really disappointing seeing him getting shut out violently (or rather take himself out of the game like that) against a mediocre opposition
What i saw is we need to upgrade the perimeter postion asap.Champ and barnes have been shit so far this season. Not sure sochan will help
any cause he cant shoot any better then them.

That game was a stinker from the start. Spurs looked off, Wemby looked slow, and Phoenix was hitting everything and getting all the close calls.

Spurs are fortunate to be 5-1 with all the injuries, so one loss isn't a huge deal. But we need to start getting some of these guys back now.

If MATFO felt like they were playing with house money and waiting for a loss to bring back the troops, well...here we are.

I get that Mitch is thinking the recovery timeline is what it is, regardless of the win-loss situation or any other situation. So maybe Fox is back this week, maybe he isn't, but it has nothing to do with the Harper injury. But you have to think now is the time if you have been holding back for the right time.

Yeah the Suns certainly taught them a lesson, hopefully they retain something.

Miss the game we knew it would happen but shooting 24.4% from 3point as a team and allowing 57.6% that does not usually lead to wins got to clean that part of the defense up and the Spurs do need to trade for more shooting

Team came out like the 5-0 start meant they arrived. Should hopefully light a fire under their asses for this next few games tbh.
Exactly. Seeing them celebrate a meaningless win at the beginning of the season like they won a playoff series was bizarre.

Man - i have my worries about Wemby.

In lot of plays Wemby was not even able to cross the half court from O to D.

He seemed gassed today :(

Is Kornet's injury still being classified as a general sprain? Now I'm hoping it's not a high ankle sprain... I had that once and it was awful. So much worse than a regular sprain.

I would never wish such an abominable night for the buttbeard.

I'm sorry! I'm obsessed with... just don't send pics.
Well, my mom is a little wobbly with the camera and the basement lighting in her house is pretty bad (fluorescent lighting ‍🙃), the odds of me putting up a pic of my bearded single toothed butt maw are pretty slim

I have said it from the start of season. Thier 3 point defense is as bad as thie three point shooting. Huge handicap for team.

with two days off in between. The dude will never be able to play back to backs. I dont want him to play actually. Not worth risking injury as you get injured more when tired.
