Game Thread Spurs (6-2) vs Pelicans (2-6) (Sat 11/08/25) [7:00PM CDT]

Hawks get Pelicans 26 FRP unprotected

Spurs get Hawks 26 FRP swap rights for the better of the two picks

I'm hyped for Fox's return. I won't be able to watch the game live, so I hope they all have a great game and get a win for him in his first game back.

Glad Fox is feeling the love, and not reading all the comments of everyone who wants to trade him after 18 games :st-lol:

Very excited to have him back
Same. Fully expect many in here to continue those trade demands though if he's rusty tonight in his first game back :st-lol:

Fox could have 40 and 10 on perfect shooting but miss a 3/4 court heave at the 3Q buzzer and the haters will start circling the wagons

To the rest of the NBA...

Imagine giving that bum that huge of a contract only to have him miss a wide open 74 footer. B-Wrong :st-lmao:

Finally able to properly watch the game, caught up with the Lakers shitshow just now.

I kind of think we expect too much, too soon. The guys are obviously playing hard and we're without point guards, even when playing like garbage we're still in games and competing.
As long as there are no blowout losses we'll be fine, we just need to take care of games like this one, where we're the clear favorites and we shouldn't dip back to .500 zone.
the 5-0 start heightened everyones expectation

and people hoped for Wemby dominating the league after game 1 vs the Mavs

Continue to think the decision should have really been between Champ and Vassell, with Champ getting the nod. I would really value Devin's self-creation ability with the bench unit. With that said, I expect the rotations to work out so that Devin becomes the guy who crosses over with bench units and leads them (for now until Harper comes back). We saw this last year quite a bit as well.

I just hope Champ doesn't go down to something like 14 mpg. We saw this last year when he was playing great and then Dev and Sochan returned from injury and Champ lost his minutes and his confidence. Champ's been solid on the boards this year. As I wrote in yesterday's grades, he's actually leading non big in REB% this year, and his DRB% is second on the team to Wemby. Kelly O and Korndog have better overall REB% by virtue of some absurd OREB rates in the small sample of two games. I'm going to be keeping an eye on the rebounding with Champ headed to the bench. There is a pretty huge gulf between Champs REB% and Devin's.
