Game Thread Spurs (5-2) vs Rockets (6-2) (Fri 11/07/25) [6:30PM CDT] on Prime Video

He's getting swarmed on the catch. Which is fine when he's close to the basket because it opens up easy shots on the weak side. It's still winning basketball as long as he isn't running to the the point line, especially the weak side three point line, on every possession like he was during the first quarter and a half.
He's not being swarmed that I've seen. He has plenty of time. His fucking teammates are standing around watching. Nothing good ever comes from that. If he were being overwhelmed I'd still say his teammates should be cutting and screening away from the ball.

They aren't.

So glad Fox is coming back tomorrow..Spurs desperately need a scoring release valve now that teams are coming with the hard double as matter of default strategy for Wemby.
scoring release valve is an understatement. he's going to be somebody who can competently initiate offense every possession without being a turnover machine

I missed the first quarter but what is up with coming out of a time out in the second and isoing McLaughlin and sticking wemby in a corner. Like is that Mitch's idea of a good offensive set?

He would mediate some of the problems for sure, I’m more worried about him staying healthy. Same with Harper. 3 out of our top 4 guys have so many injury concerns, it’s scary.

oh yeah, I think i've seen enough of Castle as a primary ball handler especially vs set defenses

just a great team effort now … love to see udoka being pissed

Wemby is just a dum-dum at times. Absolutely zero effort to post up smaller guys. There should be an automatic alarm bell in his fucking brain every time a small dude guards him.

The team is carrying Wemby. He still has gravity but he can go ahead and move tf out of the way until he figures it out
