I think that we are all hoping for it but the past two games and this one are crap. We don't need to sugarcoat it, he is supposed to be our franchise player, a generational talent and right now he plays like sh!t

Did he? He needs to post up more. The comeback more about KJ's intensity than anything Vic did. He did hit one free midrange but he needs to be posting up.

He's getting swarmed on the catch. Which is fine when he's close to the basket because it opens up easy shots on the weak side. It's still winning basketball as long as he isn't running to the the point line, especially the weak side three point line, on every possession like he was during the first quarter and a half.

the amount of times he asks for and gets the ball outside the 3pt line is maddening. i dont mind him taking threes as a trailer or handling the ball in transition, but unless a team is guarding him with their center in isolation, his ballhandling in these spots just continues to be poor.

he doenst have to bang in low post and go for tough hooks, just catch in near the basket and he can just elevate or pass pretty easily from there

100%. The only time he should be facing up from the 3 point line is if he has a lumbering big guarding him. I don’t want to see him attacking guards/wings off the dribble from the perimeter unless he’s just on a heater.

What crow to eat? He stopped playing like an ass in the last few minutes of the half and low and behold the Spurs offense works again. If Wemby plays like this the rest of the game the Spurs have a good shot to get a win even if Victor only finishes with say 11 points. He gets his ass on the block and either drops 35 in single coverage or the Rockets double on the catch and Spurs get easy shots all night on the weakside after swinging the ball off the double.

Wemby is like timmy during a playoff series- in the sense that timmy sometimes would struggle a little in games 1 or gm 2…and while spurs fans were worried and the espns of the world were annointing their opponent…

Their tune changed as game 6 game 7 rolled around and ….timmy was dominating…

Just chill the fuck out - wemby is figuring it all out and he is the best player on the planet ascending before our eyes…

yep. The only issue is our guys are not great 3-point shooters but this is still the best strategy when he is getting double teamed.

Agreed his play is crap. But we’re missing who will most definitely help Victor. Not to mention Harper who is a true PG. Hell we’re missing three out of seven of our best players right now.
