Gotta give Mitch credit, he clearly Wemby to get the fuck off the three point line and start setting up near the block. Victor played a charmin-soft first quarter and a half but he was excellent the final 2.5 quarters. Statline won't show it but Victor had a Duncan like impact opening up shots and lanes for everyone else when those doubles came off the catch and he had a ton of hockey assists and plays drawing the defense in and leading to easy second chance opportunities. That last 2.5 quarters is exactly how I want Victor playing. It's winning basketball.

much better in handling the double teams this game too. Houston had to abandon it there at the end and go back to single coverage -- of course good shooting from Champ and Barnes tonight helps...

When Victor was taking those moronic threes early I thought he was going to revert to his old Charmin ways. Then Mitch must have lit into his ass like Pop would do in the old days and we saw this new and far improved version of Victor. Need this all the time, take that old 3 point chunking soft ass 7'6" player out back and shoot it.
