Game Thread Spurs (5-2) vs. Rockets (6-2) (Fri 11/07/25) [6:30PM CDT] on Prime Video

so lets assume Fox is a grade 3, instead of grade 2, and that the spurs are hiding that for gameplan discretion. What would the real timeline be for Fox, then? Looks like worst case January, best case mid to late Dec. Is that accurate?

But why hide it for gamesmanship purposes in November? It's not like the Spurs are in the middle of a 7 game series, teams aren't doing significant amounts of planning for one off games in October/November.

Fox is by all accounts participating fully in practices/contact at this point, right? That would mean he is cleared but he is either ramping up his timing/conditioning OR he is ready but the FO/medical team are being greedy to buy him even extra time before testing the hammy in full game speed.

I'm good with that in theory and to a point, but eventually it can lead to just pissing off a player who has to watch his team from the sidelines as they drop winnable games without him. Not to mention pissing off the rest of the team as they keep playing shorthanded. At least he got his money I guess...

Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we withheld information, or took a few liberties with our injured list - we did.

But you can't hold a whole front office responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole injury reporting system? And if the whole injury reporting system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our sports institutions in general? I put it to you, my fellow Bums - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

Would be hilarious if Fox makes his debut at home on Saturday and all the wrist cutting here has been for nothing :st-lol:

I'm finding the disrespect for the fans buying tickets to be a bit lame. Is it really so hard to inform them of anything. Obviously Fox wasn't ready by 11/1. So be it, but some information would help.

Castle running point was cute at first against weak teams but now it's getting annoying. Wemby isn't getting involved fast enough, and it seems to make him mentally check out on offense.

As much as i hate to admit it, Dusty Garza was maybe onto something when he first posted on X that Fox injury could cause him to miss chunk of the upcoming season. It is playing out accordingly so far..It is most definitely Grade 3 strain, which is why he couldn't even hop on a plane for the China camp/promotional..When & how he strained it? that didn't seem to pique the interest of our negligent and cowardly local reporters..
Interesting. Didn't see that report. What did he say exactly if you can remember?

spurs probably lose this one but its a home game so i dont think we will be blown out by 30 …
lets see how we match up with these Rockets and how they defend Wemby … Udoka will ne ready

I don't remember exactly the defense played by the Rockets since those games were early last season weren't they? But I think Udoka was the one that the current game plan teams have used these past two games against Victor last season, didn't he? Defend him with a small defender and then send help over? I don't remember the Rockets games that clearly from last season. I think they were also too early in the season last season to base anything on.

He loved putting Brooks on Wemby to agitate and be physical. Doesn't have that option any more at least. If Reed Sheppard somehow gets stops on Wemby I am selling all of my Vic stock.

I remember one of those games when the rockets shitted of the spurs lmao. i was there i watched it live at toyota center.

can't wait to see Wemby struggle to post up Reed Sheppard while dropping 14 points on 22 shots

I've cooled off since last game. I am more optimistic for tonight's game. I just hope the team does a better job when he's double teamed and Victor also does a better job of knowing when to shoot, pass or attack the defense.
He doesn't need to have a 40 point performance, but just a good game (25 & 14 will do on good efficiency - of course he can go off if he wants ;) ) will help so that teams don't think they can keep doing this over and over.
