Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 4: Spurs @ Blazers (2-1) (Sun 04/26/2026) [2:30 CDT]

The worst thing is that it's not the same knee that was already injured. I'm not sure how he comes back with two bad knees, he was already not even close to his best level.
Yeah I'd shut aint down this season and get him healthy for next. No way I let my franchise player play on at best a hyper extended knee AND runners knee.

I had runners knee once from overtraining that shit was so bad I'd go to sleep at night sometimes thinking "If I woke up in the morning and my left leg was just gone it might not be so bad". I had to take painkillers just to be able to sleep.

How long it took you to recover from runners knee? Just curious

Let’s take it down a notch, wolves have been a matchup nightmare for us and defend 100 times better than the blazers do.
If there is any series Wemby is going to go full beast mode it's against Rudy, it might end up being his best performance of this entire playoffs. The wolves don't worry me much
Do you have one for the East? Who’s the Spurs playing in Finals?

If Wemby is playing, Spurs by 12pts. Go Spurs Go!!!

Magic 4-2 over Pistons
Cavs 4-1 over Raptors
Knicks 4-3 over Hawks
Boston 4-1 over Sixers

Cavs over Magic 4-2
Boston over Knicks 4-1

Boston over Cavs 4-2

OKC over Boston 4-2

Malika Andrew’s just reported that Wemby still going through protocols with the NBA and word should come down around 12:00 CST.
The NBA wouldn't be trying to extend the series by not letting him pass, would they? Like, I thought he'd pass by now and if he didn't play, it'd be the Spurs holding him out. Or maybe they're being overly cautious with him due to potentially being a big ticket for them/face of the league.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Posting this before the game thread becomes too crowded so hopefully folks will see it.

We’re not going to be tolerating the commentary/“jokes” or whatever you want to call it about Deni’s ethnicity or nationality. We’ve heard/read them a thousand times already and they aren’t as cleaver or funny as you think to begin with.

Thanks.

No f way NBA has something to say here. Neither players, teams. It medical decision.
Yeah, you're right. I just find it strange as it sounded like he was ready to go game 3. It wasn't reported that it was a serious concussion either, so Vic not passing the protocol by now has thrown me off. All good if the Spurs themselves want to hold him out.

It was suggested on NBA Tip off that we should know Victor's status by noon (10 PT)

How did you develop runner's knee? Were you like running long distances every day and not resting the next day?

its been a physical series and there may be some worry he falls again or gets hit in head trying to make a play. i mean we took back homecourt, why not sit him one more game?

It's gonna get even more physical next series, you realise that ?

I don't see how this dulls his point, if anything it sharpens it. Brain injuries are cumulative, particularly when the second occurs shortly after the first.

We may be over-thinking this. Either he clears the protocol or he doesn't. That should determine whether he plays.

Hopefully this can be auto modded. Otherwise just leave them be and purge all the pages between the first 5 and the last 5 pages after the game.

There’s nothing of value in between anyways
:st-lol:

It's kind of like a self-selection exam. Some people apparently can't help themselves, as we've seen already. I won't miss them.

I think they’d rather secure the fact that he’ll be in the west semifinals
