Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 4: Spurs @ Blazers (2-1) (Sun 04/26/2026) [2:30 CDT]

Harper game 3 performance actually reminded me of Game 3 of the 2019 playoffs against Denver in the 1st round where D-White scored 30+ and was unstoppable as well.

Man....I hope someday we can get D-White back (like Captain Jack who left us in 2003 offseason and we traded for him in 2012)

Nah we are loaded at guard nd we aren’t going to pay him 50 million which what he will want. Honestly I would rather have Fox. There are games where d white disappears.

So betting line still only -135 for wolves to win series despite being up 3-1. Likely because of injuries but still. They need to go all in game 6. Rest ant man game 5 hope he comes back for 6 but knowing what we know about Ant I think he goes nephew route and won’t even risk coming back this series.

Shit, what happened? I saw they were up 3-1 - I was going to watch game 4, but got a spoiler and heard they won (I didn't hear anything about the game in specific, though). Darn, is Ant hurt and doubtful to return this series?

Worst case scenario might be ACL tear. Have to wait for the announcement

The worst thing is that it's not the same knee that was already injured. I'm not sure how he comes back with two bad knees, he was already not even close to his best level.

Holy f-ing shit. That is not what I was expecting. That freaking sucks to see that. I was enjoying watching him play. He's a magnificent player. I hope he can somehow get out of that without an ACL or PCL or whatever tear. And if it's his knee that wasn't hurt, yeah, I don't see how he can play on two bad knees. That's when TD called it quits. TD was playing great in the 2016 season, but then when he hurt his good knee, I could see he wasn't moving the same when he came back.

AE can't risk playing on two bad knees and shortening or ending his career. Darn. That is not what I expected when I asked what happened to him. I thought it might be an ankle sprain when someone mentioned he might do what Kawhi did and sit out the rest of the series. I should have guessed it might be something bad as I now recall reading someone saying if Denver wins this series as expected, I'm like, why would someone say that if Minnesota is up 3-1.

Ant hyper-extended left knee, is report I saw

Donte tore right Achilles tendon.

We traded for Jack’s contract to get off an extra year of RJ. Supposedly, Pop talked to him on trade day, and the only thing he said was “we’re not talking about an extension “. GS had no interest in bringing him back, and to us, he was just a contract number that matched.

Just for the record, the internet says the average recovery time for a bone bruise due to hyperextension is 4-12 weeks with the possibility of 24 weeks for more sever cases. Though 2 weeks is technically multiple weeks, Ant is done for this year after we beat the T-Wolves.

Even though they are up 3-1, missing both Ants and Vincenzo might be hard to overcome. They have to hope that Jokic is suspended for next game, which I think he should for shoving Daniels, or that the Nuggets have an off night like last night.

Anyway, the Spurs have to take care of business today to finish their series quickly. I hope that Wemby can play today, Kornet has been great but he is not meant to play 30 minutes/game

And Jokic came back from 1-3 already twice in his career with the Nuggets. So this series is not over.

Not sure about this take.. He's a great role player and a decent teammate
lets re-visit this when the spurs play the t wolves and the series is physical and mcdaniels disrespects our spurs....or worse - uses dirty play against us...

If we don’t get Wemby news earlier than last game, I’d assume he’s out again
