Thank God the Spurs are done playing them this season tbh. They can only be a force for good for us now.

Biggest worry as far the Hawks swap is concerned, is the Bulls opting for the tank and the slumping Heat, Blazers and potentially Clippers ensuring ATL sending out no worse than 14th even if they miss the playoffs.

The pick ATL has is actually the best of NOP/MIL, so even if NOP suddenly starts winning games... MIL may not and the Hawks may still get high odds.

MIL is kind of in a unique place in that their pick is the worst of NOP/MIL so they don't totally control their own draft fate, but they still have plenty of incentive to tank since both teams are so bad. MIL should theoretically be as bad as possible (while also wanting NOP to be as bad as possible). The best outcome for MIL is for NOP and MIL to get the #1 and #2 picks (with #1 going to ATL)

Mailwaukee right now is the 9th pre-lottery seed with 21 wins, that is 5 wins over the 6th place Utah and 2 wins over 7th place Dallas, and those teams will tank their assess off so the best they can realistically do is 8/9. The reason they should take the foot off the gas though isn't so much to catch those ahead as it is to keep some distance between themselves and the lot coming at 24 wins, which includes recently dismantled Chicago and the Clippers.

My guess is New Orleans will finish 6/7 at best, if by nothing else than beating those tanking teams in their lot (for instance, they're 2 wins over 6th place Utah with 3 games between them left, It'll be funny to watch Utah tank their assess off those games). IMO chances are whatever seed Milwaukee finishes with is their floor, for that not to happen both NO/Bucks would have to miss top 4 and be leapfrogged by some team behind them, which is unlikely. Still, getting the 8th or 9th pick in a good draft should get them some young talent to 1) serve as foundation if Giannis leaves 2) convince Giannis to stay, most likely by trading the pick.

I'm also worried the Clippers will sink further, but the good news is that there's still probably 9/10 teams they can't catch, hopefully balls don't bounce OKC's way. Should be a pretty interesting race to follow.

CHA, like another young team I know, seems unable to hold on to leads. They’re fun though. I feel like UTA might be fun like them next year.

Hornets are a fun team, I hope they get out of the play in tbh.

Going to be frustrating when Hawks beat Hornets next because the latter have multiple players suspended for that stupid brawl.
 
Smh last night had so much potential with Bulls/Hornets/Bucks all playing and ATL losing...not a single one of those teams could pull off a W :st-bang:
