Smh last night had so much potential with Bulls/Hornets/Bucks all playing and ATL losing...not a single one of those teams could pull off a W :st-bang:
At least Portland won, and the Clips passed ATL too. ATL started the day at 14th, ended at 12th.

Dont keep up any hopes on Bulls and Bucks. The former doesn't have a functioning NBA roster and is finally giving the serious tank a good try and the latter, without Giannis is a dud.

As for the Hornets, they faced the team with the second best record in the league. And it wasn't going to be easy but they kept up the fight. I expect Charlotte to get into the playoff spots over the course of the season.

The best case scenario for the Spurs is the Hawks getting the 11st worst record as things stand in this phase of the season.

Atlanta is closer to 8th place Miami than they are to 12th place Milwaukee (11th place Chicago is tanking, so I assume they won't matter). I think even 11th place for them is unrealistic. I'd settle for them qualifying for the play-in in 10th place and having to go through Charlotte first, and then Orlando/Miami. That should be enough to get them in the lottery as the 13th or 14th seed.

Yeah. I meant 11th worst record overall.. that means the Hawks will make the playin in the worst case scenario.

And to give us the number 3 pick

We're not going to get any help from any of these tanking teams.

I think Chicago is finally out and trying to tank.

My guess is agreeing with the above, that the worst/best Atlanta can do is fall to #11. This would mean Charlotte, Portland, and Clipps finish with better records, which I think happens. We will move up (currently) 17 slots, impressive.

ATL has the 4th easiest remaining schedule in the league too.

Dumb asses took to long to get there

Bulls mensa level front-office always doing everything they can to make sure they don't draft higher than 8 or lower than 14. But given their recent history drafting higher than 8 (Patrick Williams @ 4, Coby White @ 7, Wendell Carter @ 7) maybe they are on to something.

We desperately need 3 Ls in next three games because their schedule softens up considerably until the last two weeks. Still think they won't get out of 9th even if everything goes well for them.

Hawks at Hornets is a big game, of course. sigh... just imagine the hornets had drafted clingan instead of salaun

we also have Bucks at Magic and Bulls at Celtics when it comes to eastern conference playoff positioning stuff, though i think we've all lost hope in the bulls

but even outside the east, the clippers and blazers records are quite close to ATL, so those teams picking up wins would also be better for us

Hornets up 18. This would be massive win for Charlotte as it ties the season series and moves them up a 1 game in loss column on ATL

If only we could get some help from the Bucks and Bulls as well.

Lost in the shuffle, with the Hawks fading…Cleveland is on an absolute tear, and that swap they gave ATL for Hunter is now only worth 5 draft slots. 😂
