I mean it's entirely possible that Landale and his agent made it clear he wasn't interested in returning to SA to play as a 3rd stringer. He played 32 mpg last night for ATL...if he were in SA, there's a good chance he wouldn't sniff 15 mpg most nights. Wouldn't blame him for trying to land somewhere that allows him to prove himself for the next contract.

Holy shit I thought that was a joke headline, he actually put up that line.
And the cash considerations to acquire were probably less than what we will sell our 2nd or 3rd 2nd-rounders to Indy for. No chance we use all 3 2nds.
Hawks win by 2 fucking pts, letting them get Landale for cash very likely cost us a slot or 2 or 3 in the first round and very possibility a lottery shot. Ugh.

Still think teams will out-tank the Pelicans and the Hawks won't end up with Top 4 odds pre-lottery..Pels have no incentive to lose so they will pull off a bunch of unexpected wins like they just did in Minny.

Biggest worry as far the Hawks swap is concerned, is the Bulls opting for the tank and the slumping Heat, Blazers and potentially Clippers ensuring ATL sending out no worse than 14th even if they miss the playoffs.
