Oh thanks. Didn't realize there are other sub sections to this forumAlready a 2025-2026 NBA thread here
We discussed it for a few weeks, and settled on four: announcements, Spurs, General Sports, and a Club/Lounge style no politics forum.Oh thanks. Didn't realize there are other sub sections to this forum
Those were fouls and it was a double OT game21 free throws for SGA. C'mon
Fouls in the current NBA? Yeah, obviously. It's a league where a player can leap into defenders and there's practically no defense allowed against guards like him. Against bigger players? Sure. But he can game the system. Those were fouls and it was a double OT game
People hating just to hate lol
Except they were fouls lolthe fouls he draws aren’t fouls. The fouls butler draws aren’t fouls. The fouls harden used to draw weren’t fouls. If you design a play so that you jump into a guy, that guy didn’t foul you. If you lift your arms up into someone else’s arms - also not a foul.
This should be easier to figure out.

What he does wouldn't work fifteen or twenty years ago.
Hope he slow down a bit so that wemby have chance to be the youngest MVP in history of NBALuka with 48 pts with 3 min left in the game
Gonna average 40 pts this season or tear an ACL

Yup agree. But luka averging 40 with almost triple double would be hard to beat as he plays for the lakers. As long as Spurs can get good seeding (top 4 in west), Wemby definitely has a good chance to be MVP as he is also the best defensive player.
The media narrative would help a lot as well. ESPN hyping Wemby would definitely help
Wemby has chance starting this season if he stays healthy. MVP DPOY is possible this season. I saw espn show yesterday talking about wemby as the best player in the league. LmaoLuka is the favorite then after that it'll be one of SGA/Jokic/Giannis/Ant tbh. Wemby is still a season or two away from being a legitimate candidate due to media bias unless he does what he did Wednesday night on the regular (which would give the Spurs 60+ wins).
No one in the league can do what he did Wednesday night tbh. If he has games like that on the regular he'd already be the most dominant player we've ever seen. That said, I don't think he can replicate that night in and night out and the holes on this roster will keep him from winning enough games to compete with the winning AND gaudy stats we're about to see from Giannis/Jokic/SGA/Ant/Luka (doing it on a bad Lakers team but the Lakers nonetheless). Hell, can't discount the league from gifting it to Curry again if the Dubs stay healthy.Wemby has chance starting this season if he stays healthy. MVP DPOY is possible this season. Wemby doesnt need to score 40 every night like he did against the mavs to win it. I think 29/12/4/4 stat line with spurs winning 50+ games will sway voters to give the MVP.No one in the league can do what he did Wednesday night tbh. As much as they praise him, I think they're hesitant to anoint him so soon (like how they gave Gobert DPOY over him his rookie season). He'll have to go apeshit to win it this season imo.
