We're Chipping This Year

Definitely going to catch at least one (probably both/potentially 3) games in Denver if we end up playing them in round 2. Going to the game next Saturday and tickets were $300ish for still-not-great lower bowl seats…bracing myself for playoff prices :st-lol:

Games 1 and 2 of the 2014 WCF were two of the best experiences I’ve ever had for sporting events. Couldn’t recommend enough catching a playoff game in person if you can swing it.
ive only been to one playoff game

it was game 3 against the clippers back in 2012, at Staples. spurs were up 2-0 and were in the midst of what would up being a 20 game instreak up until leading 2-0 against OKC in the conference finals :st-cry:

clippers were up huge early. was 33-11 at the end of the 1st quarter. my old man who was a clipper fan at the time kept giving me those nudging elbows every time the clippers made a play, it was annoying af. then the spurs stormed back and wound up winning by 10.

great game, but it wasnt spurs atmosphere. can only imagine what its like at a home game... though the cup game against OKC this year felt like it was at least 60% spurs fans

I’m not from town but I’m strongly considering going to a game if they make it to the WCF or the Finals. Anyone else doing the same?
I'll aim for a WCF or even Semis if they are west coast (which I guess would only leave Lakers as a possibility outside of the very slim chance the Blazers win the play-in, the first round and the second round...).

Might even look at a WCF or Finals game, but man it's such a pain in the ass to get to San Antonio... at least I'll have a place to stay.

The San Antonio Spurs are winning the 2025-2026 NBA Championship.
They're doing it. Even my bubba baby bulldog believes.
We're almost in the Playoffs and this is such a great feeling right now that we haven't had in a long, long while.

I was at the game where Barkley and PHX eliminated us and shut down the Hemisfair... early teen scott was sad that day... the quietest I've ever heard an NBA arena :st-cry:

Had tickets to Game 6 in the 1999 finals, which never happened. A trade-off I'm okay with.

Did go to Game 1 of the Finals versus the Nets, good times!

Those are my best (most painful in the case of the Hemisfair game) Playoff Game memories... hopefully I'll get a chance to make some new ones this year.

Everybody calm down. I’m here to tell you that Spurs are still chipping this year. That’s the first thing. Don’t forget that. It’s imperative you remember that.

Secondly, relax about the Nuggets game. Stop shitting bricks. Spurs aren’t risking furthering a rib injury, or risking further injuring our backup center, to pussy out of the Nuggets in round 2. That’s an OKC type move, not a Spurs type move. Don’t be a vagina about this fact. It’s imperative you understand that Spurs aren’t pussies.

Thirdly, relax your sphincters. We’re still winning a championship this year. This is actually still point one, but it’s important we reiterate this.

Wish I could see it like OP but anything can happen. Regardless as was said earlier in the thread, I’m just here to enjoy the ride. If certain players shit the bed, it is what it is. This team has shown time and time again that they can make the right moves to build contenders if needed. We have a good team again. I’m not gonna get caught up in twitter/Reddit narratives like some other posters do on here.

My favorite playoff game memory was seeing Tool at AT&T Center the night before 2007 WCF G2 against the Jazz where we beat that mormon ass. I was in Charter Club and saw Eva Longoria eat a Wataburger lol
Two nights in a row in the same building at opposite ends of the entertainment spectrum
