NBA 2025-26 NBA Thread

Luka is the favorite then after that it'll be one of SGA/Jokic/Giannis/Ant tbh. Wemby is still a season or two away from being a legitimate candidate due to media bias unless he does what he did Wednesday night on the regular (which would give the Spurs 60+ wins).

Wemby has chance starting this season if he stays healthy. MVP DPOY is possible this season. I saw espn show yesterday talking about wemby as the best player in the league. Lmao

No one in the league can do what he did Wednesday night tbh. If he has games like that on the regular he'd already be the most dominant player we've ever seen. That said, I don't think he can replicate that night in and night out and the holes on this roster will keep him from winning enough games to compete with the winning AND gaudy stats we're about to see from Giannis/Jokic/SGA/Ant/Luka (doing it on a bad Lakers team but the Lakers nonetheless). Hell, can't discount the league from gifting it to Curry again if the Dubs stay healthy.

Wemby doesnt need to score 40 every night like he did against the mavs to win it. I think 29/12/4/4 stat line with spurs winning 50+ games will sway voters to give the MVP.

As much as they praise him, I think they're hesitant to anoint him so soon (like how they gave Gobert DPOY over him his rookie season). He'll have to go apeshit to win it this season imo. That said, he'll prolly win DPOY, MIP, and CPOTY tbh.

Jokic for DPOY, tbh

Sorry for the world's tiniest video... I'm not in charge of YouTube tbqh

Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Bronny James combined for a HUGE 74 POINTS in tonight’s crushing win against the Timberwolves
🤯
🔥

Luka Doncic — 49 PTS, 11 REB, 8 AST, 35 MIN
Austin Reaves — 25 PTS, 7 REB, 11 AST, 37 MIN
Bronny James — 0 points, 4 MIN
🏃‍♂️

Victor Wembanyama is the ONLY PLAYER in NBA history to put up 70 PTS, 32 REB, 16 BLK, 11 AST through the first 2 games of the season!!!

If Luka puts up his usual and the lakers are good, he’s MVP. If the spurs are good and Wemby keeps doing this, then he will win if the spurs are better than the lakers.

I think it’s between these 2, even if giannis, Shai and jokic do their things. Shai is a dogshit watch. Media’s going to be officially bored of him in a couple weeks. And jokic’s defense will come up. And giannis just isn’t quite with these other dudes because his team is bleh and his game isn’t sophisticated.

So all things equal record-wise, it’s Wemby vs Luka.

Rocket fans think Eason has checked out on the team. They’ve observed that he doesn’t get excited on the bench anymore like previous seasons. They think he’s gone after this season.

Might actually be worse, tbh. Also he's had his fair share of health issues. Curious as to what he was asking for, but judging by recent deals (Dyson Daniels, Toumani Camara, Aaron Nesmith) he should probably not expect to get anything north of 20 million AAV, most likely close but below that number.

Hawks vs Thunder tonight....I want both teams to lose. The standings are more important than the draft....Go Hawks

Thunder up 99-80 start of 4th. Looks like we won't get 3rd straight double OT.
