Game Thread Spurs (6-2) vs Pelicans (2-6) (Sat 11/08/25) [7:00PM CDT]

Feels like Wemby first week was more adrenaline-filled energy after a long layoff than a sustainable leap taken. He's looked mortal ever since that 5-0 start..I would say he was he was playing at higher level both ends in Nov/Dec last season..It is long season, but he is been too indecisive and error-prone for many stretches of play...
We're over reaction both ways.

He;s never been a legit MVP candidate and the overuse of superlative amplified the perception of his first 4 games

He's now THE target of every game plan and we need another real threat to soften their aggressive defenses, Fox will bring that and in a few games things will get better once he's adapted and hopefully the coaching staff find smart ways to counter it.

It's a good struggle for Wemby to improve as a player, better now while we're also taking the Ws

Just letting them hang around and hang around come on put your foot down on the gas.

We better put them away this Q. Letting them hand around into the 4th Q is a recipe for an upset.

Fears getting a vet whistle for reasons no one understands

Fears fucking flopped.....first Marcus Smart, now Fears

So sick of watching opponents get rewarded for taking a dive at the first sign of contact

they need to go back to Wemby down low, right now they are playing too much with guard trying to penetrate

fears (a rookie) has a better whistle than wemby (one of the league's most marketable stars) and the NBA wonder why ratings are down

So sick of watching opponents get rewarded for taking a dive at the first sign of contact
maybe the Spurs need to start doing it a little, Wemby is getting hacked and doesn't complain

ref cant be giving those calls.Just because he gets backed down and just falls.

Wemby can't let the Matkovic dude bully him like that, he's not even fighting back smh
