Game Thread Spurs (4-0) vs Heat(3-1)(Thu 10/30/25) [7:30PM CDT]

There is no way we should be leading right now with how both teams have been playing. Miracle to be at this point

Only up by 1 at the half. Trade everyone for cash considerations and close it down.

Harper is going to be the second best player on this team in 3-5 years. It's plain as day.

Idk what did you guys expect, Heat are obviously the best team we played so far and we don't have Kornet.
Our shots weren't falling, Heat's did.

And after all that we're still in the lead.
Teams are going to have to destroy the Spurs with jumpers to win. Heat are shooting well and still losing. We'll be fine.

Heat are a team that always looks like they should tank when they blow their team up but they somehow always stay relevant.

Spurs aren't even playing well and are up 1 against another playoff team playing as good as they can. Sign of a pretty good team tbh. We would be up a lot more of Kornet was playing. Every team in the league is going to get killed playing a 3rd string center 15 min a game.

Harper isn't just the 2nd most talented, he's also one of the smartest already despite his inexperience. He reads and anticipates well, positions himself early etc

It says as much about him that the rest of the roster

Evdience this team has improved from last year. Last year’s team will be down double digit by now.
Not enough for me. I wanna be greedy and get 5-0, 5 game win streak in the 2020s and shutting up the Heat kryptonite allegations.

We could lose to the Suns for all I care (not rly but you get what im saying).

Playing smart basketball always keeps you close. The Spurs did that when PJ was there.

I don't think we even played that badly other than that poor stretch on offense.
Heat have the length to contain our drives and we needed Barnes/Champ to hit some more shots, didn't happen.

Defense was fine except for a couple of breakdowns, but anyone expecting perfect performances early in the season is in for a bad time.
The only thing that's really annoying me are Castle's random drives. Harper looks like he's already got way better decision making with the ball.
