Game Thread Spurs (4-0) vs Heat(3-1)(Thu 10/30/25) [7:30PM CDT]

think thats biyombo. he always has the little sweatband near his left elbow
Oh think you're right, blew up the video on desktop and that isn't Fox lol. Saw skinny looking ankles and assumed. Should've known since nobody would want to shoot around with Bismack lol.

Miami is taking the offensive approach that Memphis used last year—lack of pick and rolls and instead focused on off-ball movement and cutting.

It’ll be interesting to see if San Antonio has the discipline to not ball watch and stay heads-up on defense (Keldon is a major offender of being bad at this). They should at least be equal to Miami athletically, and hopefully Kornet will play.

I don't see that as sustainable for Miami. Great coach, though, and they're tough right now.

Man, I'm so bored on non-game days. I forgot what it's like to actually anticipate watching the games (instead of just watching them masochistically).

Now what am I supposed to do...be like, productive and stuff?

it would be pretty embarassing to lose to the Heat if they are missing Herro, Powell and Jovic tbh ... but I guess these Heat are different

Should've kept Brazils thread at least he had some informative info...miss the ace3g and batmanu threads with all the tweets...and waiting till game day so we get some accurate info now that the early excitement is over

Lame - was hoping at least Kornet would be back. Thankfully Miami has a few guys out as well but their frontcourt is going to feast when Wemby sits.

Came here to write that I think we're in trouble if Korndog doesn't play... and now I see Korndog is not playing.

So... I think we're in trouble.

I'm also concerned that we heard nothing about Luke being hurt after the NOP game and then all of a sudden he's out for 3 games with an ankle.

The 5 game win streak just made elude us for now...

We're prob cooked without Kornet tbh. Bismack's old ass can't protect the paint for shit anymore and we don't have any other players with any size. Who knew Third-string Center would be such a huge need for us this season tbh.

This is a statement game for Wemby, Ware gave him trouble a couple of times already.
We'll need dominant ~35 minutes from Wemby and hope he can get Bam/Ware in foul trouble.

4th. At this point KO has to be a better option that Bismack lol. or even emergency center minutes from Sochan

Champ saying they've never watched more film.
Seems that making changes to coaching staff actually does things for your defense.

Options to replace Biyombo: Moses Brown, Wiseman, Bamba.

Bassey just signed with the Grizzlies on a hardship exception and Achiuwa might have an agreement with the Heat to return once they can sign him without going into the tax or apron.

The fact that Bamba is already out of the league at 27 despite his physical gifts is a major red flag. Don't think Spurs would even consider him. Wiseman is a terrible rim protector despite his size and length (and just sucks at basketball as whole). Moses Brown would be really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Think PATFO would rather just stick with Biyombo's useless ass.

If only we'd drafted Walker Kessler over Malaki Branham back in 2022 tbh.

Been watching the Heat on League Pass, and they are surprisingly robust considering their expectations for the season. They move the ball well, they have SEVEN players in double figures this season. They also have four guys grabbing rebounds north of 7 per game. Normal Powell is a stud on both sides of the court.

They're easily the best team we've played all season. I hope we put a ton of pressure on their young guard core to force turnovers, because they're dicing teams up in both half-court and running the floor. Don't sleep in Miami this year -- they're emerging as the surprise team in the East yet again. They're going to play us tough for the full 48 and will test our resolve.

I was wondering who is playing well for them. Completely forgot they got Norman Powell. Hopefully the Spurs can raise it up another notch, play a clean game and beat them. Would be huge for the young guys to get this win IMO.

Was Kessler still on the board when the Spurs drafted Malaki? Also, is Wiseman a free agent? I thought I saw him on a team in the preseason. Did he get cut?
