Game Thread Spurs (31-15) @ Rockets (27-16) (Wed 1/28/26) [8:30PM CDT]

Ehhh Harper has better handles.

Everything else Castle is better.

Yes, I agree that in a 1 on 1 game, Castle likely will win Harper.

This is just like Westbrook situation. Put him play 1 on 1 against any guards, there is a high chance he will win.

But in a real 5v5 games, his TOV is really killing the team tbh

i want the team that took care of business against OKC. i also forgot the vassell injury really impacted us too

It would be nice to get Jules some open looks. And we need D. Fox to be aggressive. I’m betting he won’t miss those bunnies like he missed a couple in the first quarter.

I know minutes restriction is limiting, but can we all agree that Year 3 Wemby has fallen a little bit short of our expectations especially on offense? i really thought he would be more polished and more explosive scorer than what he's shown so far
It all comes down to him not developing a go-to move, IMO. At this point it’s getting concerning.

Losing 9-2 in the OREB department and 6 more TOs in a half is not gonna cut it. They also have 14 more FGAs than us..

I just remember Year 3 TD was arguably one of the Top 5 players in the world. Can’t say that about Year 3 Wemby. Hell, Year 3 Admiral was more polished than Year 3 Wemby.

his TOs do suck bad but hes also trying to create something becuase our offense cant get setup when wemby is outside the 3pt line. clogged lanes due to this and bad shooting leads to those TOs

In a vacuum, 30 points per 36 minutes on 62% TS is pretty damn good…but yeah, he still doesn’t seem like he can reliably create for himself in an efficient manner. His efficiency seems to usually just depend on whether his 3-point shot is falling or not.

I don’t have much faith that he’d be able to carry an offense in a playoff series, that’s for sure.
Coaching has failed him big time. There is no consistent offensive set run for him. And they can't seem to get on his case when he's either too indecisive or too nonchalant executing said sets when they do get into them.
Mitch Johnson is not the coach for this generational talent. Team can't afford to have such an inept and inexperienced coach try to mentor a player like Vic, who's expected to undergo growing pains en route.

Castle has multiple errors, mental errors, spread out over many games now

i mean, does the coaching staff NOT notice??????????

People wonder why Wemby hates Chet so much but I wonder why Shaq hates Wemby so much?
legitimately wants him to play in the paint more and use his body to get positioning early on in the clock, but also edgelord syndrome.

i want Becky lol
Who's that person who won't shut up about firing Mitch and bringing in Splitter?

I've been rooting hard for Mitch since last season. Don't really think any of this crap is his fault.

It starts with Wemby tbh.

Is Coach Becky a possibility?

not me po

I'm not judging him until we see him in an actual offense instead of whatever we're doing right now.
I also think some of it is inherent personal deficiency; like you said, unlike Timmy, his focus seems to waver throughout 48 minutes

When Wemby is in the game, it almost boils down to just hero ball.

But fuck it we're down 8. Let's go.
