Dat countdown lineup (5 4 3 2 1) to close the game tho... I was digging it. Max physicality with that group. Not going to be ideal in a ton of situations, but it was spot on when they rolled it out to close the game.

Just watched a highlight with sound on and I can not believe how shitty the ESPN announcers were. I mute sound on national games because I can't stand the production and I feel for anyone actually sitting through a whole game listening to that garbage. It's borderline abuse. The guys voice is so grating and stupid but Doris Burke is legit at least. ESPN execs seem really out of touch. Great 4th quarter last night for the Spurs! They really took over and closed strong.

Hero games from Castle, Wembanyama, Keldon, and Harper. Even signs of life from HB. All well-covered on this thread.

Interesting to see the recent patterns of in-game defensive adjustments from Mitch and the coaching staff. UTA game we swapped Wemby for KJ on Nurkic, and that turned the tide. This HOU game we swapped Wemby for Castle/KJ on Sengun, and put Wemby on Thompson, allowing him to roam like a rabies-infected Serge Ibaka.

Which reinforces a lot of what we already knew:
1. Wemby could still use a lot more strength, as teams have figured out that the only way to slow him down is via abusive strength.
2. We lack a bulldozer at the 4 to protect Wemby and make up for his lack of strength.
3. KJ and Castle are our only strength guys (even Kornet is lacking).

But the good news is we are working as a team to hide those weaknesses, and Mitch & co seem to be slowly figuring it out. I’m looking forward to the trade deadline then playoffs.

They are BAD. I think Burke used to be good but she's pretty terrible now.

Interesting. I actually think it's the opposite. There is a lot of potential on this team...but not very much realized talent.

2 of our 3 guards can't shoot for shit and it might take years before they can.
At power forward our options are veteran with one foot out the league, top 10 pick to trash to get on the court, rookie 1st round pick who is about as raw as it gets. We basically just flat out don't have a power forward at all.

Most teams playing rookie contract guards who can't shoot big minutes while also not having a real power forward or pretty bad....

Fucking exactly! Its crazy to me how the group of people who went from thinking all our players were shit are now the same people saying we're too talented to fuck it up? This team has POTENTIAL, but we are so far from a finished product.
