(Btw, 5 blocks, but Victor missed mister and all-star Kevin Love.)

That record feels worse
For real.

Also..10 points really ain't shit in today's NBA. That can disappear in a few possessions if the other team gets hot from three.

It's the 20-25-point blown leads that really concern me.

Kinda funny that we can be 2nd in the west and be tied with the Grizzlies and Pacers for most blown 10 point leads at 11 blown 10 point leads, lol.

Hard to call a win against the 15-29 Jazz a gutsy win, but this was a gutsy win. Felt good to get the bug-a-boo off our back in terms of blowing leads.

Firstly, gotta give credit to Mitch. Nurkic was doing his best Jokic impression assisting dunks from the key, pulling Vic out of the paint. Was killing us. Mitch put KJ on him, allowing Vic to sit at the dunking spot, which completely changed the momentum. Mitch kept KJ on Nurkic while Vic rested, and when Vic came back sans KJ, Vic played off of Nurkic, assuming that was the coaching staff’s decision. Fox postgame interview was asked what was the difference in the 4th, his response was that “our defense finally settled in.” These defensive adjustments were the difference. Also credit to Mitch for putting in Jeremy with Olynyk shitting the bed, Socan had some good minutes.

Fox with an absolute heater. Champ in 1H as well. Nitpicking, but I am worried about the lack of penetration. We took too many 3s, but we at least made them…Big shoutout to KJ for being our one and only monster in the paint.

Loved what I saw from Victor. Such a competitor, he kept searching for the right play. When he does that, the stat sheet fills up. Good response to his HOU game.

Castle with a much better game. His middy and finishing is still hard to watch lately, but think of it as growing pains that will pay off next year and beyond.

I really hope we make a trade before the deadline. Olynyk/Sochan/I hate to say Barnes are not going to cut it at the 4 in the playoffs. Please keep Barnes, but we need an upgrade at the 4 (HB make a quick trip to a Shaolin temple or something, please).

I didn't like what the Spurs were doing offensively much for most of the game. But if half your shots are threes and you make more than 40% of them, well, you will win most games.
Are we actually sure the Spurs would win a playoff series against these Jazz? 🤡

Mitch needs to start running more plays for KJ and get him more involved in the offense in general. When he plays well, we usually win.
Last night was one of those rare games where KJ played like a star. Obviously, he’s not that but it’s cool to see that he has it in him from time to time to look dominant on a team with Wemby on it.

At this point, this is basically just a prop bet on whether Wemby will play enough games to qualify, which is 58 games (not 65 games like end-of-season awards)... with a caveat that is fun...

For statistical leaders who miss the games threshold, they can still be considered the league leader if their raw number of the stat over the required number of games would still be the highest average.

For example, say Wemby finishes with 55 games played, with his current 2.6 blocks/game = 143 blocks. His 143 blocks over 58 games would = 2.47 blocks/game. This would be higher than Alex Sarr and Jay Huff's current 2.1 blocks/game, and therefor Wemby would be officially considered the blocks leader. (source: https://www.nba.com/stats/help/statminimums)

Wemby is actually listed as the league leader in Blocks per Game last season, despite only playing 46 games, for this reason: https://www.nba.com/stats/leaders?Season=2024-25&StatCategory=BLK - sites like Stat Muse don't list him because their algorithm uses the generic games played requirement, but it's incorrect and Wemby has officially led the league in blocks and blocks per game both years of his career.

Honestly... this bet seems like pretty easy money. To clear the 2.1 blocks per game currently being put up by Sarr and Huff, Wemby only needs 41 more blocks this season. (Of course, Sarr or Huff could always go on a run to increase their average, but that's how it works out right now)

Mono outing lakaluva as a Naruto lover, the Samuel Dalembert photo, Cubby/Dale, etc. were prime Spurstalk and some of the funniest things ever in niche internet history tbh.

Raiding that Jaguars forum was pretty epic imo, same with the BQB reports.

I'm now waiting for the press to come up with a name for this duo. Champagnie-Wembanyama. Maybe French Wine...

Champagnie is greatly underrated, like athletes who are, often, sorry to say, ugly or ordinary guys. His brother explained that in Washington, he had to find a way to fight for all the details that stars often neglect. They are role players, they know it, and accepting that role means working on those neglected aspects. Both are excellent at offensive rebounding, for example.

And even if they don't have particularly impressive athletic or aesthetic dimensions, we have often seen them perform actions that reveal, on the contrary, excellent athleticism. And obviously Julian has become an incredible threat from the three-point line.

It's great to see undrafted players make a name for themselves like this... Julian has become a valuable asset to the team alongside players who are supposed to be better than him.

it was though im pretty ashamed by it at this point
I looked at it as more making fun of the declining quality of NFL QB play than actual racism (though the author prolly meant it to be both tbh).
