More like can you imagine how fucked would we be as of late if he was still injured.I just read that the Spurs are 18-5 when Wemby comes off the bench and 9-7 when he starts.
That’s wild and makes you think
It’s not to blame him obviously but I think it’s more the allocation of his minutes and the coaching staff doing a horrible job figuring out when he needs to come back in. They really have done a poor job in that aspect.More like can you imagine how fucked would we be as of late if he was still injured.
He sat after just 4 minutes last night, up 16. I'm sure it's his fault we lost.
Spurs are +21 over the last 5 games he played.
Wemby is at +60 in just 124 minutes played.
Meaning the rest of the team is at -39 in 116 minutes without him.
On pace for -16 per game if he wasn't playing. But in reality it would be much worse since Olynyk/Sochan would be replacing him.
Not to mention they lost against the Blazers after he hyperextended his knee and barely beat the Pacers.
We thought that at least passing and getting the ball to Wemby won't be an issue with all the playmaking we should have, but it's been pretty bad as of late. It’s not to blame him obviously but I think it’s more the allocation of his minutes and the coaching staff doing a horrible job figuring out when he needs to come back in. It doesn't really mean a lot even winning 4 games in a row against them in the regular season. I'd rather be 0-4 in the RS and win 4 games against them in the playoffs. I'm sure the Thunder aren't too worried about RS games. It'd be amazing to beat this team 4 in a row but you can't help feel this is the revenge game.
I'd say yes and no. Overall they are just regular season games but those previous 3 losses has to put some weight on OKC wouldn't you think. Especially since they were being touted as some powerhouse juggernaut team only to get smacked 3 times by one team in a span of about 2 weeks. I think they would have to have some level of healthy doubt playing against the Spurs. SGA said it himself. He said something along the lines of, you don't lose 3 times to the same team in a short span if they're not better than you.It doesn't really mean a lot even winning 4 games in a row against them in the regular season. I'd rather be 0-4 in the RS and win 4 games against them in the playoffs. I'm sure the Thunder aren't too worried about RS games.
There is nothing to think about.Other then castle, fox and harper,One of them need to hit open shots consistently.I just read that the Spurs are 18-5 when Wemby comes off the bench and 9-7 when he starts.

Yea I can see that. They're still a great team and the team to beat.Maybe it put some weight on them in that time shortly after the 3rd game, but if they're anything like our old Spurs teams, they'd shrug it off and not really care too much about it.
The other thing is, since they're the champs, just even winning this upcoming game against the Spurs, that might be all they need to be back to being supremely confident against the Spurs.
Not all Championship teams are like that, but usually when you're a legit Championship team, you're a lot more confident than a regular team even after losses. That's my opinion from watching the Spurs over the years anyway.Yea I can see that. They're still a great team and the team to beat.
Yeah, I made a mental note of that play as well. Really weird at times how they seem to keep missing this dude who is, well, kinda tall.We thought that at least passing and getting the ball to Wemby won't be an issue with all the playmaking we should have, but it's been pretty bad as of late.
In Boston there were two fast breaks with him running the open lane and being ignored while transition 3s are chucked.
Last night Keldon had him wide open in the paint, but decided to pass it to Waters in the corner. Luckily, Waters had the right read and made the shovel pass.
It's been really, really bad in that regard.
Post entry passing is also awful.
And then when Wemby isn't on the floor they attempt all those idiotic bounce passes into the middle of the paint, infuriating.
Does anyone on the coaching staff hold them accountable? I'm sick of "let them play through it" shit, that's how you develop losing plyers.
You don't tell a fundamentally flawed player to do everything at once and expand every aspect of their game right away.
Start with the basics and go from there.
Yes 0% from the 3 pt line is a major issue hard to reckon. Fox 0-6. Go Spurs in OKC!There is nothing to think about.Other then castle, fox and harper,One of them need to hit open shots consistently.
