Game Thread Spurs (19-7) vs Hawks (15-13) (Thu 12/18/25) [6:30PM CDT]

I dont get the sochan hate…just part of fair-weather fandom i guess…

Spurs fan base has to be the luckiest in the nba and the lineup is stacked with great talent and great personalities…

But every single game thread there is nonstop hate for sochan and god forbid another player has an off night- the instant trade him for other flavor of the month scrubs begins…

Just tiring as fuck.
Are you saying you hate the haters?

This is my favorite hate watch / hardest home town root session game of the year thanks to the Murray trade. No Kristas or Trae tonight... GSG!

You're right, but it's just the point that Exstatic brought up. I'm really starting to get worried about that Clippers pick and OKC getting another amazing player. If they get another great pick, then that is more trade assets for them to load up on future draft picks. If they don't win the Championship and get a top 5 pick, they can retool right away. They're already hard enough to beat, don't need them getting more lottery picks, especially it a great draft like this one. I really hate the Clippers a lot more than the Hawks, but it does suck that the Spurs were likely the next team up to get NO's offer if ATL didn't accept it.
I get what you're coming from but we've already been ridiculously lucky back to back... to back !! :ROFLMAO:

Also whoever okc adds so what? There's still only one ball to share and 5 spots and no player can match the cheat code we have

OKC mostly dominated last season and still does bc the rest of the league isn't that good and many teams are in a rebuilding or tanking process.

Look who they faced and look who Celtic faced before. Inexperienced young teams with most of their best players injured.

It's a good team but I'm not impressed, they win a lot by not beating themselves and teams will start learning how to play them or not fall in their traps etc

In a vacuum, I like what we have, but OKC is still loading top picks and talent, and they are the team we must get past. The sting of them getting the Clips high pick would be offset if we had gotten the Pels pick.
I'm not impressed by OKC at all and don't think they'll last. Maybe a year more at best until they're figured out and other teams like Spurs Rockettes or even Wolves have matured

They mostly benefited from a poor era and weak opponents, almost lost game 7 vs Hally less Indiana.

If we keep building properly, no roster can match ours.

I was a Sochan fanboy. We aren’t talking about an off night. He’s not impacting the game at all.

If anything he’s regressed and thankfully Mitch had the balls to pull him from the rotation.

I hope he flips a switch but it’s not looking good for Jeremy.

i mean im glad to hear they're not going to hold him back but thats... not how it works lol. if you miss a day doe that mean you are going to play 48 minute the next 2 games to make up for it? lol
I just took that as one of Mitch-isms tbh.

With the game so analytic and metric based these days, it makes sense it creeps into coach speak too.
Mitch is likely suggesting he’ll play but perhaps not at his usual allotment being it’s a back to back.

If yesterday was a tight contest, he’s probably sitting him.

NAW dropped a career-high 38 against us the last time we played these guys on 8/10 from 3, in large part because we kept leaving him wide open. He dropped 28 against the Hornets last night too. Need to know where he is at all times tonight. No more 3PT fuckery from this dude please.
It would just be nice to not leave so many wide open 3s for the other team. One of the most frustrating things that we do.

With many innovations, this portal is rapidly becoming the best sports fans portal in the world............

Im loving it, and it is really so easy to upload!

If Dylan Harper really decides to play for Gilas Pilipinas, the national team of the Philippines, he will get to learn about the Triangle Offense from Coach Tim Cone, who is a devotee of that offense

Meanwhile, perhaps some Spurs staff are reading our posts

Guys from the Spurs Staff >>>> please look into the Spurs website, and try to enhance it, hahahahaha

that website's design > needs improvement

Magic and Michael in some pretty good company.
Yeah but Jordan was averaging like 28ppg or some crazy crap while magic was averaging 18/7/7 as a rookie and won finals mvp one year then averaging close to 22/9/9 and leading the league in steals the second year.

Not slighting castle but these guys filters down things just to make things crazy looking. I just hate those guys keep filtering the crap out of things to get retweets and try going viral with their “discoveries”.

What castle is doing is still impressive as hell but he’s not rookie Jordan or magic level of insanity yet.

So how long will this cute shtick continue? Wemby coming off the bench? Maybe the Spurs with all their brilliance can break the mold yet again and keep their superstar coming off the bench for good?
FOH
