Game Thread Spurs (13-5) @ Timberwolves (11-8) (Sun 11/30/25) [6:00PM CDT]

Sheppard will never be able to defend his position. My opinion is that he will top out as bench spark plug.
I dont think you saw him score 35 plus points the other day in houstons win?

He also making other winning plays…im a rockets hater but gotta call em like i see em tbf

Brown was questionable, but he'll play.
Good for us, hopefully Celtics can wear them out for tomorrow.

Good teams will put him into pick and rolls, isolate him, and play him off the floor. Besides, your post didn’t address mine. He can shoot with a lot of help from multiple screens, but you kind of hope for more from a #3 overall pick. He cannot defend his position.

Reed landed in the best position to mask his defensive weakness. Those wings in HOU can fly. Had he been moved in the KD trade I bet he doesn’t have this resurgence.

This is an important game for the team’s maturity in my mind. It has all the makings of a Let Down game. How will they respond?

I agree, but the Spurs are still shorthanded and playing on the road. I just want them to show up and compete. Win or lose, I just want them to keep playing the way they've been playing and give themselves a chance to win.

Celtics up 10 at the half, Timberwolves defense has been really bad.
If we come out with the right energy tomorrow, we can run them off the floor.

Wolves have really turned it around in the 2nd half, but hopefully it’s draining their energy.

I actually want them to win because we should have an esier time if it's not a must win game for them.
Starters will play their usual minutes, good for us.

Really need Fox to not Fox it up and play well. He's getting bounced around by teams with any size or length and not accomplishing much on offense, while being worse on defense. He can't consistently disappear like he has been. The passing is good, but the system creates a lot of those. He needs to be an efficient scorer.
Seems like you don’t really understand basketball. How much he scores depends on how teams guard him. Denver was trying to contain his drives which left our shooters open. That means Fox will score less and assist more. If teams focus on stopping your star player that’s not him „disappearing“

Donte and McDaniels are the two guys I'm worried about tomorrow. Can't let these two tee off with open looks against us... they've both the prototypical role player who goes off for 28 against us or something absurd.

Naz will challenge us a bit as well. If Kornet is matched up on him, Naz will stretch him out to weaken our interior and Luke is too slow to keep up with him if he gets drawn out. Will need positive contributions from Kelly and Jeremy off the bench again.

Let's close out this road trip!
Mitch will use Sochan to defend NAZ.. Kornet is too slow.. a mix of Sochan, Vassell, Champaigne

MIN allows a BOS 12-0 run to tie the game with a minute to play but Conley hits a 3 to take the lead back and looks like Ant is going to ice it

Your point about our boy Derrick White getting exposed in a bigger role is the most salient narrative of this Celtics season. He is a fine 3rd option and perfect 4th option, but anything above that you are asking for trouble. Just so Spurs fans who are still griping about selling low on him understands the general context of the trade..

Meanwhile Jaylen Browen proving his FMVP was not an iguodala-esque trophy. Dude can actually carry a team to playoffs/play-in contention (at least in the East)

Perfect D by Derrick on Ant but AE still delivers the dagger

MIN beat BOS 119-115 today

Ant Man with dropped 39 pts on them in 37 mins. Hopefully he is tired as hell tomorrow :st-lol:

I like MIN breaking their 3-game losing streak the game before ours so hopefully they are satisfied

No doubt a very winnable game. The Spurs should be brimming with confidence right now.

Derick White has always came off as a glue guy to me. Guys that are good players that will mesh with stars players and not complain about his shots etc play defense etc etc the little things you need to win games. He is not a player that can carry a team he is the type of support piece you need around star players to win championships

I'm just here to say that it feels pretty damn good to be at 13-5, all things considered. And we probably should have won at least one of those games against the Warriors. Got screwed by the refs in the first, and fumbled away the second (not to mention Curry apparently wants to ruin Wemby's life)

Harper should’ve closed the last game instead of fox. Hoping to see more minutes in general from Harper
No. Fox was diming in a major way for easy splash three balls.

I saw the same thing Amused did. Fox didn't have it down the stretch. Almost cost us until he deferred to the hot-hand at the end of the game. That was the smartest thing he did those last 2 possessions. But no way Mitch pulls Fox this early in the season and screws with his head. Mitch was going to live with the outcome and move on. Someone else said maybe have them both on the Floor at the end of the game, but not sure that would have made sense matchup wise.

I think sometimes you gotta live and die by your leaders. Benching Fox for Harp would send the wrong message. Mitch has to count on Fox to be responsible for his own actions so that it resonates from the top-down. From there, it’s up to Fox to make the right call and fortunately he has enough self-awareness and gave it to the hot hand. Not many stars have that unselfishness that Fox displayed the other night. We’re lucky that although Fox might not be the most talented point guard, he has a good head on his shoulders.

Should have also won that Lakers game too. Only games all season it felt like SA didn't have a great chance were the Suns games. Every other loss was pretty damn close. A couple lucky breaks and the Spurs are 16-2 instead right now. Pretty impressive stuff so far
