Maybe I'm crazy... but seems like HOU would be a good destination for a non-extended Trae...

I'll be even crazier and say the Bucks.
They'll be $18M under the cap next summer, with everyone except Giannis and Turner being easily moveable.
Trae takes a slight paycut and they could somehow get him.

Not a perfect fit, but Bucks are desperate to compete and it would surely be a fun team.

I don't think Rockets even consider him because of their defensive identity.

Hawks are four points away from being 0-4 to start the season. They don't look good. It's hard playing defense with Trae Young, but one problem is that Dyson Daniels really doesn't look good so far this year. Their overall defense has taken a step backwards.

for now, they're still beating up on brooklyn and up by 14 in the second. but if he misses any extended time...
shit...they may play better without him.

buddy of mine is sports doc. has worked with hockey and football teams.

he said its definitely an MCL injury by video, same mechanism as Pacheco's injury from the Chiefs game this past week. could be sprain or tear, would need MRI to determine severity and how long he'd expect to be out. if its very mild could be as little as a week or so until he's back.

Nets in the bonus less than halfway into the 3rd, and KP just picked up his 4th foul (jalen johnson with 4 fouls as well)... but they're still down 8

edit: man, nets are bad lol. lead up to 13. how did we let these guys storm back and take the lead?

we are 3 quarters into the Nets 5th game of the season, and Egor Demin has attempted 22 three pointers and not a single two pointer

Hawks simply had to pay Dyson Daniels after the season he had.

In 5 games this season he's averaging 5.4/5.4/3 on 31/33/50, but at least he's still getting 2.2 steals.

The east is so bad.
Yeah...as much as I'd like to imagine the dream scenario of us landing a top 5 pick from the ATL swap, just seems very unlikely given the state of the East. Trae Young could be out for 6-8 weeks and I still think ATL would be a playoff team.

AJ Dybantsa, Cam Boozer, and Darryn Peterson have been getting most of the media buzz, and rightfully so, but look out for Caleb Wilson out of UNC. The Freshman out of Atlanta, GA looks good so far this season. He's a 6'10 PF who is a versatile defensive monster, but also has a nice offensive game and jumper that extends out to the 3-point line. Would be a nice front-court pairing partner with Wemby. I guarantee he'll be all over the Spurs radar if he isn't already tbh.

Another big game from the guy who is quickly becoming my pet cat of the draft (outside of the top-3), albeit against inferior competition. You can see the defensive potential and physical tools though. This kid will end up going top-6 in the Draft imo.

^with that profile if he has a good season he'll be drafted closer to 4 than 10 TBH. I will say this: If Spurs really like someone, they should really consider going after him, like Memphis or OKC regularly do. They have the assets, might as well try.

He’s not on a rookie contract, he’s on his second, looking for a big third contract, He is unrestricted, and there are teams with cap room next summer. For us, the best case is that he walks, and they get nothing.
If he walks it'll be in the summer. Hopefully they blow it all up this season, right?

Can't wait to see the lineup of Wemby, Fox, Harper, Castle, and Peterson. 82-0!

Cam Boozer has been doing this shit since he was 15, and outplaying the Thompsons against the same competition when they were 20 at OTE. You’re never really sure, but of the top 3, I’m most sure of him. He’s also a legacy, with an NBA father, and that’s normally a boost in the right direction.

Yeah, I've got to say out of the projected top 3 I'm most interested in Cam Boozer, sounds like a perfect, efficient, winning player to go alongside Wemby and Harper long term, those 3 together would the the foundation of a dynasty. Castle has a lot of upside but there's more risk with him if the shot doesn't get to a respectable level.
