Plenty of awful draft day trades in NBA history, but this one has the potential to be there for sure. I couldn't believe it at the time, it's hard to believe how these people have such high positions in the league considering how stupid some of their decisions are.

East is garbage but Cavs are down DMitch, Garland, and Allen + Strus and Merrill.
No ones gonna look good missing 2x Allstars, their 4th best player, and 2 other rotation guys.

Yeah they traded the Pacers Top4 '26 protected for #23 (Asa Newell) 5 days before Hali went down, then flipped #23 and their unprotected '26 with Mil swap rights for Derrick Queen.
Essentially traded two Top 10 picks for #13 Queen ahahahahaha.

We need to do business with NOLA!

Too bad the Pels can't even tank this year. Else they might have thought about trading away pieces for picks. But they might be dumb enough to do it anyway.
