NBA 2025-26 NBA Thread

That’s one of those tough situations. Like when Weinstein dam broke and all the rumors finally turned into headlines and facts, it’s like, how much was known by people like Tarantino or Judy Dench, people who were elevated mightily by their seemingly “legit” relationship with Weinstein?

Same is true here. There was rumblings about Epstein for decades. The surprise when he was arrested was that he was actually arrested. So even if the business was legit, how legit was it actually amidst a long history of rumblings? How much money was “laundered” or how many “earnings” were bribes in that blackmail network? How much was ignored to just have that “legit” business relationship?

There’s no clean billionaires.

45 Pistons
37 Golden Fake

Pistons are ballin. Asuar Thompson with an excellent stuff of Stefina Curry. WhistleMVP came to Steffis rescue.
Lot to like about this Pistons team.

Suns whooping the crap out of Cavs without Booker. About to be 11 games above .500. If the Suns can just acquire a little Health at the deadline…

Paul George's 25 game suspension will cost him $11,742,294. The Philadelphia 76ers will receive a luxury tax credit worth half that amount ($5,871,147). This brings the Sixers from $7 million above the luxury tax line to just $1.3 million above it.

Worth it, tbh.

George said it had something to do with Mental Health in a statement, and I really need it to be psychotropic therapy LSD.

Flagg may have surpassed Wemby as the most valuable asset in the NBA imo.

Wemby was clear number 1 the day he was drafted, but I feel like Flagg has made it a discussion now with his absurd play at his age.

I’ll take Wemby over Flagg in a game of one on one. It would be similar to Kareem annihilating Dr.J back in the day. Some draft evaluators are saying Flagg would go between 4-6 in this year’s draft fwiw.

The claim that Flagg is more valuable than Wemby is ridiculous.

The claim that Flagg would go 4-6 in this draft is just as ridiculous.

Ain't no one in this draft I'd take over Flagg. Peterson might have had an argument if he could ever stay healthy but I'll go with Cooper the sure thing when he has such ridiculous two-way upside.

Flagg was the #1 player in this current 2025 class, then reclassified to 2024, was the #1 player in that class a year young, lived up to expectations, led team to Final 4, went #1 as a barely qualified by age prospect, and has lived up to and even exceeded expectations now, vs NBA players.

Flagg is the most important college player since Edwards, and Flagg was more likely to be rated higher than even Edwards after their one season at college.

All that said, Wemby gets undercut just a smidge in evaluations because nobody has ever seen anything like what he is and could be or flashes at his size or his size with his skills, so it’s sort of like comparing Winged Pegasus to a Kentucky Derby Winner. One just barely feels real and makes zero sense while we have already seen Kevin Garnett/Dirk, so the Flagg upside feels real.
