NBA 2025-26 NBA Thread

Rich Paul, who represents Anthony Davis, has made it clear he wants his client to be traded. He believes that's in his best interest. I don't get the sense that A.D. is pounding on the door of the front office and saying 'get me out of here.' The Mavericks are exploring the market. They're being aggressive. They're having those conversations but they're not acting with a sense of urgency. They don't feel like they have to trade A.D. by the deadline. They don't feel like they have to trade him this summer. If Anthony Davis is on the Mavericks' roster to open camp next season, I don't think anybody in Dallas sees that as a major problem.
:st-lmao:

If I’m the Mavericks I tell Rich Paul to fuck off and keep podcasting and wiping LeBron’s ass

Yeah Paul has no real leverage here. Davis is injured, old, owed a lot of money, and wants an extension. What team is giving up assets for that?

Definitely do not like the Warriors (sans Curry when not playing the Spurs) but damn they have had some tough injuries. KD, Klay twice, Curry’s broken hand, and now Butler. Oof. Obviously their window had for the most part pass, but now they are fubar’d.
Karma for Kawhi

Tony Brothers decided to be the star of the show in Philadelphia.

That's easily the worst clutch ending of the season.

Suns can’t have nice things. Booker with probably ankle sprain. Green still suffering hamstring issues. Up in the game last night by almost 10 when Booker left and they lose and now slip in standings.

Sigh

I'm watching a little bit of the Mavs/Lakers, and I still can't get over the fact that the Mavs traded a top 3 player in the league right after dragging his team to the NBA finals the previous season. It still hurts. :st-cry:

Glad to see the Spurs aren't the only ones blowing large leads.

Charlotte’s just gotta organize itself around a workable gameplan. No reason they shouldn’t be play in going forward, for many years.

Won't post the details because of no politics rules, but the Grizzlies owner...yikes.

Its not really political to say its a drone company.

But the second podcast from pablo torre says the same new owner was dead set on moving grizzlies to las vegas.

I have now heard 3 franchises linked to Las Vegas… Dallas, Memphis, New Orleans.

I have a friend who is way more connected to this stuff who says if the league puts a franchise in Vegas LeBron will be involved. Maybe as a relocation or maybe as an expansion. Wouldn’t shock me if the Kings also still had eyes for Vegas (Maloofs famously tried to move them before Mayor KJ and Sacramento stopped it).

For me, LeBron buys The Kings, moves to Vegas. That’s the answer. Then see if you can’t get a Pacific Northwest Owner to buy Pelicans and move them to Seattle.

No expansion. Just logic. And that’s if the NBA still wants a team there given they have become the face of organized crime, point shaving, illegal bets, and referee/influence in predetermined outcomes.
