NBA 2025-26 NBA Thread

Hornets 60-34 at the half. 24 point lead seems pretty safe, right?

I like what Charlotte is building and they are certainly capable of overtaking Atlanta.

90% of the professional athlete commentators are awful, in every sport. Why do we tolerate it? Every great radio or TV call in history has been from schooled, trained, quality broadcasters.

Now, of course there’s exceptions, and they can certainly add analysis value or entertainment in post-game commentary.

But there’s always too many voices on a game call, and, majority are useless despite always talking.
Walton was the one exception, god I loved listening to him trash Olowokandi and the Clippers every night when he did color for Sterling's cheap ass. Though did really piss me off in Game 1 of the 01 WCF on NBC when he said Kobe was making the Twin Towers look like the twin sisters. :ROFLMAO:

You didn't like JVG?

Thinks he retires a Warrior too. Besides, they would have to get an appealing star player in return. Their fans will not tune in just to see Donkey being Donkey lol.

Gotta wonder if the Dubs decide to put Curry on the block to both recoup assets and let Curry try to win another ring or two elsewhere tbh.
Curry is never leaving. He has four rings and the 2022 title ensures no one can ever say he can't carry a team to a title. Man has nothing to prove and no reason to ever leave. Sucks it's gonna be a one man team again and I hate to see Jimmy Buckets' career possibly ended. Just a rotten situation for basketball fans. Trading Steph though would be like the Spurs trading Tim. I wouldn't have traded 2016 Tim Duncan even for Curry; when you carry a franchise to those kind of heights you earn the right to play out the rest of your career there.

Definitely do not like the Warriors (sans Curry when not playing the Spurs) but damn they have had some tough injuries. KD, Klay twice, Curry’s broken hand, and now Butler. Oof. Obviously their window had for the most part pass, but now they are fubar’d.

“full” ? Looks “partial”.

Any of you ever have a major orthopedic surgery or something like that? You can look awesome after a couple months and still have a year + of recovery.

Tatum’s doctors will make the right decision of course, but this footage is unremarkable. He’s not doing anything intense or violent on his frame. Just a little light workout. Maybe there’s other better footage 🤷‍♂️

Suns Vibes are immaculate. Plus Green returning, Suns now 10 games over .500, plus Houston again struggling to point a loss drops them behind Suns, yeah, I’m really excited for basketball.

With Green off bench today, Suns had 4 double digit scorers off it.

Celtics need to protect him from himself. He’s young. But Achilles injuries need time. I get trying a March return for light minutes. But if he’s pressing for sooner, that’s a mistake immediate and longterm.

I’m gonna self ban for 3 days as punishment. When I typed this I want to say Spurs were up 15 and my Houston friend was texting me the Rockets looked defeated.

I jinxed ya’ll. Should have known better. Sorry.

Ain't nobody jinxed the Spurs except for Fox and Wemby when they took two moronic I think I'm Curry early shot clock threes to end the third quarter and start the Rockets 13-0 run that decided the game.

He’s not going to come back this year because it means nothing for their title chances, they have a lot of juice with brown right now keeping their revenue stream lively and KD tore his because he rushed and nobody’s ever gonna rush again.

He’s also not a good enough player for this to all matter, and too good of a player that you can’t gamble with tacking on an extra year to his injury just to have bragging rights of taking the ECF to six games instead of 5.

Edit: I’m misremembering the Durant thing. But point still stands. This is a stupid fantasy people have.

I think you are completely wrong on all of the stuff you said.

Went to the Celtics game last night. What a snoozer.... As much as I like Mazzula and DWhite, the Celtics play such a boring brand of basketball and TD Garden doesn't even try with in-game entertainment. Makes me appreciate the Jackals and the other stupid stuff they do at the FBC.

It also didn't help that Indy is dogshit bad this year. I know Haliburton is hurt and Turner is in Milwaukee now, but holy hell I fail to see how you subtract those two from a team that was 3 quarters away from a championship and get whatever I saw last night.
