I would definitely take 200 millions over 250 millions to have better players around me, even 150. People just don't realize how much money that is and that is before any sponsoring contracts. I'd love to see how the polling results would be affected by the Spurs overtaking OKC for the #1 seed.

Not that I think Wemby would win it, the Spurs are too egalitarian - but man, I'm tired of SGA and Jokic for it. Rooting for Cade instead.

Plenty of billionaires give money away and plenty of athletes have left money on the table in favour of having a better team around them. I don't care to talk about the billionaires, but you know what most of those athletes have in common? They have won, a lot.

You just need to be smart enough to put things in perspective and understand what things are worth prioritizing.

Our schedule is pretty tough. I obviously want to win the West but just holding onto 2nd place will be a feat worth celebrating.
This is the time of year where you can find a lot of easy wins because of tanking teams.
Unfortunately, we don't face many tanking teams anytime soon.

12 of the next 15 games are against teams that are trying to win.
That includes 2 games against Detroit and 1 game each against Denver, Boston, Houston, New York, and Charlotte.
This next stretch will decide a lot in terms of standings and also Wemby's MVP chances.

If Spurs "only" win the West, it's likely the best record overall comes from Detroit, and that would likely mean Cade gets the nod. Spurs need to get to #1 overall for Wemby to win MVP IMO.

Wemby is still not there in terms of the offensive consistency of the other superstars in the league, but nobody mentions just how much more impactful he is compared to the rest of the league on the defensive side of the ball.

If a no defense playing guy can be in the MVP race just because of his offensive numbers, then a 25 ppg guy that is by far the best defensive player in the league should be too. If the Spurs finish #1, Wemby should win it, imho.

Think SGA already has it locked up tbh. Joker was leading the race before he went down with his freak injury, but it's pretty much been a wrap since then. SGA can miss 11 of the last 27 games and still win it so it so need for him to rush back either. As for Wemby, I think most voters would go with Cade over him right now if SGA wasn't eligible for whatever reason tbh.
