Game Thread Spurs (8-3) vs Warriors (7-6) (Fri 11/14/25) [8:30PM CDT]

Knew this was an unserious team the moment Mitch was appointed as HC that early into the offseason while Jenkins and Malone were still available.

😂
I can’t stand Mike Malone. He’s a shit talking bullshitter from what I could tell. Wasn’t interested.

Fox had a really good game and a terrible last 2 minutes.
Castle was fine but not aggressive enough on getting his shots.
Wemby had a passive first half but turned it on late. He should have gotten more touches late.
This was the first bad game from Keldon. His 3pt shooting needs to return.
I’m surprised we didn’t see Waters at all.
Heck, Jordan could have been useful when we were turning the ball over so much in the first half.
Mitch gets a failing grade this time. Poor TO usage and poor final play

Meh these two losses were probably needed. As long as they learn from it. It took 100 points in the two games from that little mouth guard chewing shimmying 3 point spamming cockhead to eke out 2 wins. There’s no way the Spurs are going to beat a desperate Warriors team in close game situations.

The top 6 teams in the West are very clearly going to be OKC, Denver, Houston, Lakers, Minny, GS.

Spurs will do well to get the 7th seed and get into the playoffs is a MUST this season to get that experience. There’s no excuse not to get I to the playoffs when the play in competition is Phoenix, Portland and a broken Clippers.
I don’t know how much more learning these guys. We have 2-3 buffoons that poison the whole team with their ineptitude

Fox is historically a clutch player. We need for him to keep working out the kinks and becoming a key part of this team. It will pay off
that made up ass “clutch player of the year” award is gonna carry this bum for the rest of his career tbh

Wemby, Castle and Champ played lights out.

I would better ride with Barnes than Vasell in critical moments. He is sooooo antiii clutch
Wouldint say castle played great.Once again he missed fts, cant hit open 3s when we need him to and turned
the ball over to many times. His d really didnt do nothing to disrupt curry either.

Dammit.

Really wanted to lean more towards something real but that start is looking like bullshit right around now.

The team goes as Wemby goes tbh. If he can't match the level he had early in the season, we're cooked.

I've probably been the biggest Mitch supporter but fuck some of these lineups. C'mon man.

Didn't we have a timeout left? If the first/second/third action wasn't there, take the TO. Don't throw it to the other side of the court. Fucking idiotic.
I think we used our last TO when they made the FT

It's so unreal after all Jenkins accomplished with a much less talented Grizzlies team that was always injured. I don't really want Malone but I'd give @scott 's left nut to get Jenkins here.
I miss prime Pop tbh. A coach that would demand accountability and actually has drawn out plays 😂

Y'all can blame the coaching all you want, but idk what you want Mitch to do when Vassell turns the ball over and then immediately commits two fouls in the clutch.
The onus is on the players. I thought the rotations tonight were fine (a bit too much double big)

This loss really sucked since the Warriors is the team I hate the most in the league even more than the Lakers. Both Steph and Draymond are insufferable but with that being said I don't think the Spurs as bad as these two losses make them out to be. The Warriors have had the number of inexperienced young teams the last few years in the playoffs such as the Grizzlies, Kings, Rockets. I have seen this story play out in the playoffs where the Warriors will need Steph to have games where he goes for super nova explosions to win against these teams and they will grind out towards the end and get a few key defensive stops.

I think the Spurs are still going to win a lot of regular season games. I just hope if they get a high seed they don't face the Warriors in round 1 because they will probably have the same faith as the Rockets did last year. It's frustrating in the sense that I don't feel the Warriors are a title contender and if they ran into the Thunder or Nuggets that they would get curb stomped in the playoffs but they can play spoiler towards young inexperience teams. That's pretty much the only thing they are good at doing now.

Even in losing Victor played so amazing on both ends down the stretch, and the fire he showed with Draymond just was inspiring. Fuck that idiot.
If only he didn't play like shit in the first half, but I blame the coach for letting him just stand at the three point line the whole time.

keldon always play like the worst player in the league against smart teams

fk those warrior scrubs shooting lights out when the spurs were up 8 or so in the 4th

this loss stings, day ruined

Clippers are another veteran team that has abused this Spurs team as of late, the Suns already humiliated this team this season, and the Blazers are a much better coached team with a more modern NBA roster. Hell, Grizz might get it together and keep the Spurs out of postseason contention altogether. 11th seed here we come tbh.
