Game Thread Spurs (32-15) @ Hornets (21-28) (Sat 1/31/26) [11:00AM CST]

This team definitely needs another superstar because Wemby ain't gonna take you there with his limitations.

What a pathetic shot by Wemby. He had no rhythm all game. Just had to take the ball to the rim and the Hornets would have swarmed him.. and passed to the open man. This is the worst game that Wemby has played all season, IMO. This loss is basically on him.

wemby played like he's too good for january early tip-offs on the road against small market teams. not for the first time either.

clearly a mentality issue and won't ever be truly elite until he gets over himself in that regard.

OK, you assume that we are going to win the tip with Victor so was there a play call Mitch? Was that the play call Victor shoots it from practically half court?

Why the fuck they called the shot for bictor when you can see from his face that he doesn’t have any confidence today

Why waste that much time just to foul? It would have been close but Spurs could have gone for the stop
I thought same but trying for a steal is worth avoiding giving them a 5 point lead for a few seconds at least.

Kinda glad I missed this one, excited to read the post game discussion

as expected, a bad game from Wemby and the rest of the team after a win. This team will be lucky to hold a spot in the top6 and go the playoffs directly and even so they will exit in the first round, they don't have enough constancy.

Saw this loss coming weeks ago, but it only reinforces this team is fading fast tbh.

It’s Dylan Harper, but he’s only allowed to play 20 minutes a game apparently

That's why I wanted Cooper. I'm not going to sugar coat it. I wanted Cooper because I thought he could be the star of the team if Victor falters. Dylan has is showing that he also has potential, but he's sitting on the bench.
