Game Thread Spurs (32-15) @ Hornets (21-28) (Sat 1/31/26) [11:00AM CST]

If the teams and TV crew are at the arena, it's going to be played.
I'd be more concerned about tomorrow's game against Orlando because those don't look like flying conditions.
It would actually be nice if Orlando game is moved to Monday since we play the Thunder on Wednesday, would rather avoid another b2b.

What country are you in? I'm in AU and, yeah, that's my timezone. It's SAT night, are you normally awake at that time, if not, maybe go to bed and watch the replay tomorrow (if the game went ahead).
Australia? Im from the Philippines it’s 1 am tip off here after it was moved.

Yep, that is where I am. I thought you might be in a different country with the same timezone, so that is why I asked. I'm on the other side of AU that has the same timezone as you guys have.

I wonder if the next game can be moved a day back. I looked at the Schedule and it would make it a back to back for Orlando if that happens as Orlando has to play in OKC Tuesday night.

Should we have drafted Knueppel over Harper?
Hindsight is always 20/20. We drafted the consensus #2 player in the draft who's also a damn good player with a bright future in this league, especially if/when he develops a consistent jumper. He's also already a better defender than Kon will ever be.

Kon would prob be a better fit for this team right now given our lack of shooting on the roster, but he also plays the same position as Castle, so you'd have an overlap issue there. Not to mention a defensive backcourt of Fox and Kon would be rough.

Kon could theoretically replace Vassell in the lineup (he'd have the same defensive issues guarding athletic wings that Devin has), but would Mitch have the stones to replace a veteran starter like Devin in the lineup for a Rookie..? Maybe but I doubt it.

Ultimately, I'm glad we took Harper. I think long-term I'd rather have the 2-way player who puts pressure on and finishes at the rim at an elite clip. Once that 3-ball starts falling for Harper, he's going to be an All-Star/All-Pro level player in this league. He'll also ensure that we have a smooth transition from one good PG to another as Fox ages.

Finally!!!!!!!!

Charlottes aways plays us tough for some reason. It’s like NOLA East
Charlotte is also currently 5th in the NBA in 3-point shooting. Spurs struggle with every team that shoots the 3- ball well due to our proclivity to leave guys wide open on the perimeter. Today will be a challenge for our guys tbh.

Good good decision to start Champs over Barnes. HB's cold streak was hurting the team in the first Q and he wasn't helping with the rebounding either. Champs has been a very good rebounder and his defense has been good even if his shooting has been streaky.
