Better game than Nets, raptors was due to have a run but spurs stayed in control tbh… what a mix bag of a game for castle, great stats but dat ball handling, ill advised shots, 5 TOs and the hero ballin… not even sure what to think

He did grab a couple of key rebounds late, but overall a stinkbomb of a game.

No, but the fact that you can dominate with him not shooting much makes you really feel good about the potential for the squad.

I've been around too long to know never to get too excited about these things, but how legit is this team?

It'll be relative to the rest of the league and the WC mostly. The next draft is insane and I'm sure it'll play a role after the ASG

We lack reliability and experience, we're too short on the wings and lack (reliable) shooting.

We got grit though and huge talent... to develop.

Fun game, I wasn't keeping up with the game thread at all so here are my thoughts...

Really impressed by Collin Murray Boyles. He wanted all the Wemby smoke and while Victor was more than happy to deliver, CMB really held his own. The Raptors have a good young player there and I think he will be a tough matchup for years to come.

The Spurs made this game harder than it needed to be by trying to get cute at times, mostly the Raptors gained ground against the bench unit but at times it felt like Wemby, and the rest of the team, was getting a little too creative and it cost them. Spurs maintained the lead when they played more basic basketball.

Wemby is fucking unstoppable. I always knew he would be a monster but seeing it really take shape is something else. CMB challenging him brought out the best in him, the way it always does against strong competition. I can't wait to see the next time he faces Jokic or Giannis.

Castle is not a PG. Sorry Steph. He should have the ball in his hands plenty and be a connective passer and point of attack defender but Harper and Fox should be our primary ballhandlers.

Overall, a great win. They kept a lead. Wemby is amazing. 4-0!

24 in 7/8 shooting is another alien stat-sheet by Wemby, tbh.

10-10 freethows helps alot on sccoring. He should maintain atleast 8 freethrow attempts per game.

One of the best things im seeing this season is this;
Every single player including vassell, has finally got the memo that they are all pieces who are there to complement the greatest player in the nba…

No branham black hole, no vassell hero-ballin’, no wesley running 200 mph throwing errant passes or beating everone down the court to miss the layup, no zollins shooting twice as many shots as wemby, and finally (and sadly in retrospect) …

Pop in his rightful place in the front office.

Okc used this model to get a ring and if our role players understand that beating okc is still - one or two steps ABOVE of how they are now playing- and keep working hard….

The spurs might be the scariest team in the west this year!
