Manu was putting himself in danger on regular basis with reckless play, Wemby doesn't really do that. It's just that everything he does looks reckless because of his size.

He was injury free in his rookie year, had that knee bump with AD last season, blood clots happened, then the calf issue which was obviously dealt with extreme caution and now a knee hyperextension which also didn't do any damage.

His only non-mechanical injury was that calf strain. And obviously blood clots.
But these knee things is something that just happens and can't be avoided regardless of his role or minutes played.

He also had that incident when he stepped on the ball boy's foot and rolled his ankle in Dallas.
 
I fear they may play him tonight then rest him tomorrow

Id rather DNP him tonight then play him against the llllllakers. I wanna see the Lakers suffer.

Caveat, the DAL and LAL data is a little skewed, because it's not just a simple Luka is on or off the court, because Luka was swapped for AD. Nevertheless, I included them

BOS: +10.0 with Tatum, +8.3 without Tatum
DEN: +10.9 with Jokic, -10.2 without Jokic
DAL: +9.0 with Luka, -3.0 without Luka
GSW: +5.6 with Steph, -1.0 without Steph
LAL: +8.5 with Luka, +1.1 without Luka
MIL: +7.2 with Giannis, -3.2 without Giannis
MIN: +3.9 with Ant, +7.1 without Ant
NYK: +1.8 with Brunson, +10.8 without Brunson (wow, tbh)
OKC: +17.4 with SGA, +9.1 without SGA
SAS: +3.9 with Wemby, -9.6 without Wemby

So those are last season's numbers.

Here are this seasons, since I didn't include those:

DEN: +13.3 with Jokic, -2.6 without
DET: +9.3 with Cade, +4.2 without
GSW: +2.7 with Steph, +1.4 without
LAL: +4.8 with Luka, -5.4 without
MIL: +9.7 with Giannis, -9.1 without
MIN: +4.9 with Ant, +6.7 without
NYK: +4.8 with Brunson, +9.9 without
OKC: +15.4 with SGA, +10.8 without
SAS: +11.9 with Wemby, +1.5 without

The three teams I'd consider to be clearly "the best" at this time (OKC, DET, SAS) all have positive Net Ratings without their star. That's a good thing.

MIN and NYK should probably be asking some serious questions about their stars.......
 
Healthy Giannis is a Top 3 player in the league and he isn't #3 tbh.
 
Not that surprised about Brunson because he is a horrible defender. But it's stunning that the TWolves are quite better without Ant than with Ant on the floor!

The whole reason Manu came off the bench is because he allowed it to happen, tbh.

Maravich got Ice on those tricky shots...behind the backboard...sitting down....

Ice was the much better/accurate shooter ...not many players can just do those long range bank shots at will...

Both took different approaches, but both masters. I'd feel more comfortable taking Ice's shots, but F, those are very hard bank shots to make for anyone (even the best shooters), and then Pistol's shots, not sure I could make some of that stuff Pistol did on a single try for the first time if I've never done them before (It'd probably take me multiple attempts to even get there on some of them). I thought Ice did great on some of those attempts which may have been the first time he ever took some of those shots or did some of those moves (Impressive if he'd never tried any of those shots by himself before and it was the first time he attempted them, I thought he did really good keeping up with PIstol Pete). Was really awesome to watch. Both guys in their prime were AWESOME.

I live in the Texas hill country north of SA and have Fan Duel and no games have been blacked out for me. I hear Fan Duel might be having troubles which I hope is just speculation and not true.
