Last year NYK vs. SAS --

Christmas day classic game, Mikal Bridges almost equalled Wembanyama with 41 points to 42 and the game difference was a loss for the Spurs by three points. Castle was still coming off the bench. Interestingly, Sochan started and got 21 and 9.

Second matchup was in March, with Wembanyama out for the season, although Brunson also did not play. The Spurs blew them out 120-105. Mamu had his 34 point game, missing only one shot and hitting 7-7 from deep.

I really think the Spurs are a class above the Knicks right now and expect tomorrow to show it. Blunt Brunson (with Castle, etc.) and they may have an easy time of it, but we'll see. Knicks have some good role players that can go off.

And that's fine. Every second he's on the court, no matter who else is on there, he warps the game.
Mitch is smart enough to be mindful of the when and wheres.

Honestly given how good we've been playing without Wemby, I like this approach for a few games. Hit them in the teeth with the lineup that's been on a roll, then bring Wemby in to kick them while they're down.

If an even subpar number of 3's had fallen against OKC in the first, we go into the half up by quite a bit.

The Knicks are a really good shooting team (especially from the corners). The spurs’ weakness all season has been giving up uncontested threes. This game will be a good measuring stick for the Spurs’ defense.

On the other side, I hope HB gets back to his usual self and knocks down a ton of threes
