Game Thread Spurs (17-7) vs Thunder (24-1) (Sat 12/13/25) [8:00PM CDT]

Sochan was cracking jokes with 9 seconds left in a game of this magnitude, what a dolt. Guys like that used to drive me nuts when I played. Mitch is really showing some balls benching him repeatedly.
I missed it completely but his antics are a lot less cute now that we have a winning team. Imagine having your 10th man saying stuff like F Houston. It's not needed for this team.

Fk Yeah Lets fking Go!

Outplayed them from 2nd to 4th quarter, very impressive defensive showing across the board

Imagine if thats the Vassell the spurs get consistently and in the playoffs
I think Vassell has learned to play his role, patient and no off-balance lean shots. He’s even playing serious defense. That’s what winning will do, and I expect the rest of the team to all get better also.

nah Wemby is sending a message that Chet is nothing compared to him. That block on Chet had extra spice, the fist pump after Chet missed the free throw
Extra spice for sure. I don't know what it is, but I fucking hate Chet. That's rare for me, never hated anyone on the Mavs/Suns/Lakers. I kinda love the rest of OKC.
But I want Charles Oakley to come out of retirement for one fucking game to change the idea Chet is "tough". That dude is a fucking bitch and only exists because no contact is allowed.
Wish Harper's (non-foul) spinning layup elbow had broken his nose. That dude fucking sucks. Just one game against any pre-2000 big, or Rasheed or Ben Wallace, KMart, fuck even Kurt Thomas. Just one game, so he realizes what a pussy, stick figure cunt he is. Fuck, even Caruso would bend him over. I want Wemby to make it a career goal to humiliate that (fake) guy.

Once Wemby came in and we started rolling OKC was shell shocked whether they’d admit it or not. I saw in SGA’s eyes coming off the court he was shaken. Suddenly they are not coasting to an NBA title realization look.
For sure, that start to the 2nd half with Wemby on the bench was very impressive. Both for us and to see OKC like that for the first time all season. Tone shift, on a big stage. HUGE for this young team.

Yeah pull out the spreadsheet and calculator 😹😹😹 dgaf, use your eyes and put down the meth pipe
Yup, 68 wins in the West takes a calculator AND a spreadsheet not just the ability to count. Obviously point differential is meaningless, its not at exact measurement of your reg season in-game performance. 82 game frauds. You're an idiot. Great hot take though (y)

Just finished the replay.

Wemby is the most talented player in the league. He is the MVP, but whether or not he plays 65 i doubt it.
1st Qtr i thought Castle, Fox and maybe one or two others partied too hard last night. They looked lazy and spent.
Korny is only effective with another big on the floor. Otherwise his lack of lateral, he just gets worked by speedsters like OKC.
Victor saved the game, completely turned around the momentum. His will to win is as refreshing as his physical talent.
Castle has to do exactly what to get a 2+1 from the refs on many of his drives? FFS these missed calls are really added up.

Prediction: I think some ladies in Vegas are going to have a very good time with the single young 100K richer Spurs tonight. Or was it more $$ for the winners?.
Just get home safely.

Oh mate we got away with one there lol
Are you talking about the Vassell fumble out of bounds to give OKC a game winning shot attempt? That final play WTF Devin fumbles it out of bounds for the turnover. We need Laker-WarriorRef style intervention to seal the deal? Caruso didn't even touch Vassells arms or hands. Was the call over the back? i had the sound down for sleepers over here. That was pathetic if there was no foul. Ya i know the refs favored OKC for the game but nonetheless, that is a beyond lame close by Devin if indeed no over-the-back by Caruso.

I missed it completely but his antics are a lot less cute now that we have a winning team. Imagine having your 10th man saying stuff like F Houston. It's not needed for this team.
The antics were always my biggest problem, even more than his frustrating play. Happy it'll cost him millions (10s of likely). Can't get paid as an RFA averaging 16mpg with lots of DNP after being a starter for a couple yrs. And looking likely he'll be a lot closer to a sub-10mpg guy once he starts getting some final 90sec games clocked. Hope he could change/grew, but still looks like he wants to be a clown more than a bball player.

The NBA cup is fun even with all the whiny pain in the ass haters still crapping on it. Feels like the NCAA tournament to an extent.
I can’t think of a pre-Christmas game that came with this much hype AND DELIVERED ever in my years watching the Spurs since 1988. And the Cup has a big role in that.

We respect the cup around here, as the Silver & Black Coffee Hour would say
