Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 4: Spurs @ Blazers (2-1) (Sun 04/26/2026) [2:30 CDT]

Literally just got home from a long day gig. I checked the score. We were down 17. Checked back we were ahead by 15 w/2 mins to go. Looks like Fox had tge type of game we were clamoring for today. What were the highlights?

Good that we either get MIN or that series goes 7. We absolutely need to take care of business on Tuesday. If we do, would give us about a week off. Don’t know what’s up with Steph’s wrist or Dylan’s shin, but a week off to heal up would be what we need.
A week + not having to travel for a long time because of home court next round. A win Tuesday would be massive for a good reset tbh

Will be really telling how POR comes out in game 5. To be one half away for 2-2 with a 17 point lead to getting absolutely sonned had to be demoralizing. The bad thing for us is guys like Jrue don’t have quit in them. Probably need to weather a really hard punch to start the game off. Super glad it’s home.

Fox had his best game as a Spur and Wemby probably had his best defensive performance of his career.

Castle was in foul trouble for a lot of the game but had a stretch in the 3rd where he assisted on 3 or 4 Wemby dunks in a row which was awesome.

I am a little bit worried about some carryover from that altercation with Steph. Taking some cheap shots, knowing they are going to get eliminated.

Whose got the video clip of Steph sonning foul baiter at the end?

Kornet looked tired. He was trying to tip in lobs that he was dunking earlier in the series. It will be good for Kornet to get a little rest.
And to be fair to Luke, guys were giving him the ball way further out from the basket than he is used to, resulting in awkward shots. They were kind of dumping it to him and he wasn't even ready for it because the Blazers did a good job of guarding the front of the rim.

When we had our run in the 3rd, I knew their young guys wouldn't make their threes. Then Jrue shot one and I knew he would make it of course. But he's not enough for Portland to win.
