Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 4: Spurs @ Blazers (2-1) (Sun 04/26/2026) [2:30 CDT]

Tuesday would be 1 full week removed from the concussion, that might be more what they have in mind now (beyond just the protocol requirements). I figured he would very likely play game 4 given that he made the trip to Portland in the first place, but winning game 3 might have them reconsidering. If having Vic go to Portland was purely for gamesmanship purposes that would be surprising.

i think he just wants to be with the team regardless of whether he's planning to play or not. dude wants to be there for his teammates during their first playoff appearance; i wouldn't want to stay home for any games either

After hearing Vasell comments today he just wants to be with the team and support them.

Of course if he doesn’t play and Portland responds then you go home for an extremely high-pressure game 5 you can’t afford to lose. So it’s a double edged sword to not play him. But you gotta do what’s best for him.

If Victor is cleared by doctors, you play him. I don't get why folks want to get cute with this. You don't punt playoff games. The decision to clear doesn't come from the Spurs staff, and they won't clear him if they believe playing poses a real risk to his brain. So why exactly would the Spurs add extra time to that?

Watching this healthy Nuggets team possibly go down 3-1 to a team that lost its megastar and a key player because they can’t buy a bucket should be a sobering reminder for all of us. This stuff isn’t guaranteed at all.

Nuggets aren’t healthy to be fair. No Watson and AG is basically at 50%.
