Spurs catch a break here with Portland barely squeaking by Phoenix in tonight's Play-In game. We matchup much better with the Blazers and are 10-0 against them at home in the Playoffs all-time, the most wins without a loss by any team vs. a single opponent in NBA history (!!).

Also, Wemby sat all 3 games against Portland this season, so they've yet to see him this year. And Castle only played in 1 of those games as well. Will be great to have all hands on deck this time around.

This will be a good first test for our young guys in what will be for many of them their first Postseason experience.

Spurs went 2-1 against Portland this season (without Vic).

Not much else to say other than WE BACK!!!

Let's get it. :st-flag:

Thank you for creating the thread. Sunday night should be a nice break to sit and just watch my Spurs… Spurs by 25 pts! GSG! :st-flag: :st-flag::st-flag:

My emojis are back,!! Yay :vic-cheers:

Much better matchup than the Suns tbh. Assuming everyone is/stays healthy for both sides this should be a 5 game series. Castle vs Avdija will be the key matchup with the Guests' lack of consistent secondary creation unless Holiday turns back the clock. Fox has also thrived in this matchup even with Portland's dearth of bigger defenders (we'll see if that holds). Spurs need to go at Avdija on offense as much as possible to tire him out by clutch time. This will also be a series for CB to get his footing.

I've always liked the Blazers. Well, not the Jailblazers era. I don't think this is a fearsome matchup at all. Good way to get the playoff experience going.

Damn, Batmanu getting the first playoff game thread in 7 years.

And first playoff gamethread that actually matters in 9 years.

You need to edit portland’s win loss record tbh
