Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 1: Spurs vs Blazers (0-0) (Sun 04/19/2026) [8:00 CDT]

I'm grateful that despite the mass doubt/concern pre-season, the fears about Wemby's availability and health have mostly been disproven - he's managed to reach his first postseason ever in a (mostly) healthy fashion, while also playing enough games to earn his deserved DPOY.

It's extremely exciting to get to watch him and this Spurs team in the playoffs. Really can't wait!

Anyone else still have PTSD from the gut wrenching Rod Strickland no look pass to Elliott in game 7?

I was 12, and my family was packing up to go to the beach. I remember trying to watch the game as my parents were stressfully packing the car. The pass happened, and my dad was like, "That's it, we lost, let's go!" and turned off the TV. I begged him to let us finish the game to no avail. He did turn on WOAI to let me listen to the end, but I was so sad.....and it was a long trip to Corpus. I will never forgive Rod for that.

Should give CB some run on Deni this series. Will be good practice even after he fouls out after 5 minutes tbh
Deni is already king at drawing fouls (more FTA per game than FTA himself), and CB still has that rookie whistle. seems like an easy way to slow the game down and gift them some points. rather just have CB out there bringing chaos when Deni is off the floor (or if we have a sizeable lead)

The no look pass which he compounded by committing the flagrant foul!

Complete lunacy that would be considered a flagrant foul at any point in the history of the league though, tbh

The one that would have made him a lifetime legend in Rucker Park lore? And changed the trajectory of his career for carelessly risking the Spurs' team effort.
