Agree, pretty much 0 chance he's traded this yr or next.AGAIN, Fox forced his way to the Spurs. Almost every post I read is people looking to trade him in the next year or two. The Spurs won't even think about trading him 1-2 seasons in. If they were to entertain something like that, it'd likely be going into his last season of his contract. The only way they'd trade him before that is if he asks out. I could be wrong, but IMO they won't do that to him.
I'm excited to see Fox healthy and to see him play. He's going to be awesome IMO. I wasn't disappointed in him at all last season. I was more disappointed in Victor going out and I thought that brought everyone on the team down. The Spurs didn't have much to play for after that, and there was no reason for Fox to go all out anymore with his finger needing surgery.
With the only caveat being both Castle and Harper look like AS level players approaching trade deadline 26'-27' and Fox is playing well enough to be the centerpiece for a wing that better fits the team and Fox is ready to move on.
Basically Castle/Harper would have to be playing well enough where all 3 guys are obvious 32+ mpg, Fox is open to a trade knowing what that means for his future here, and the right guy/fit is available for trade.
So many chips need to fall into place its not worth fighting about. Much more likely, Fox is our PG for at least 2+yrs and Castle/Harper progress normally, and they're our 1-3 for a few seasons. Or they all play to hopes and we don't want to move any, or someone gets hurt, or someone doesn't develop as hoped, or Fox regresses.
