That comparison would need it to be against Fox/Harper to be compelling right now. Odds are kind of low that either Harper or Castle reach where Maxey is right now is all i'm saying.

yeah, the version of Maxey im seeing now is like the best case scenario of what i was hoping Dillingham could become. he's incredible.

Last season was a down year for him despite the counting stats looking good, his efficiency regressed slightly and he seemed to chuck a bit. I didn't really make the connection that he was banged up and playing through nagging injuries, he looks healthy and has his pop back in his step again.

Maxey and VJ have the shooting advantage, Harper and Castle the size and defense advantage. I think harper can be really, really, really good, better than what Maxey is now, so Harper and Castle.

I love Harper's theoretical ceiling, but what are the odds of that outcome is all I mean when I say kind of low. Luckily there are lots of outcomes in between his floor and ceiling that are still an all star player. Maxey is 25 and all NBA level right now, no hoping he hits his potential, its already hit.

Edgecomb isn't an all-star. The only difference between Harper and Edgecome is the later is given the chance to start and play more minutes. Under the same circumstances Harper might be putting up even better numbers, considering how good he has looked coming off the bench.

the same can be said that harper is playing with a all time top 5 big and VJ is slumming with dom barlow . but i could truly care less if a scrub team gets a good player. spursfan being insanely greedy and dumb doing what ifs.

its going to be a little bit harder for him to get allstat nod if playing of the bench/ ginobili role and minutes. There’s a reason ginobli only had 2 allstar appearances.

Maxey and VJ might be highest scoring backcourt ever....Maxey is on an insane level. He is average I think 40 pts per game?

Is Embiid like done done? Are his knees too far gone? Or is there hope he returns back to near form? Bc if so then they are a title contender this season. It’s really just the Knicks and the Cavs this year

To be fair, we took Castle at 4 when they took McCain at 14, Vassell at 11 when they took Maxey at 20, Harper at 2 (consensus pick) when they took VJ at 3 (non consensus pick), signed Justin Edwards undrafted... overall I'd rate their scouting pretty high, higher than the Spurs.

I doubt Philly would have taken McCain at 4.
It would be interesting who they would have taken at 11.
That said they've done well.
