Kuzma was stuck with the Lebron lakers (leGM) and the fucking Wizards before he went to Milwaukee. Y'all gotta realize he's been in laughing stock orgs his whole career.
Not sure why you are talking about the lakers time like it was a bad thing. He was a legit rotation player on a title team

Well, they play different positions, JC is a 3/4 and NAW is strictly a guard, so that’s where his minutes would have to come from. Julian does everything we ask, shoot, rebound, and defend 1-4. If we could get another player just like Julian, a shooting rebounding defending 3-4, we’d be set.

Julian does have a twin...

That game last night was disgusting lol. Couldn't even believe the Hawks were able to mount a comeback with such atrocious shooting and defending. The Bucks are clearly hanging on the Giannis thread for dear life.

It's hard to believe how bad the Hawks defense continues to be now that Trae is off the team. I can't say he was scapegoated because he truly is a pathetic defender.... But it looks like maybe he was in better company than fans and the FO realized. Not much to do now other than pray for Porzingis' health to improve.

CJ McCollum has picked up the bad defense, no conscience shooter banner with gusto!

Kuzman was a solid players back on the Lakers even before Lebron showed up but I think he has main character syndrome he always thought he was better than he was which caused friction and when the Wizards started loosing he said I am just going to get mine.

11th pick as of today, I don't think that it could go any better than 8th and that's already pushing
plenty of teams moved into the top 4 from 8. And there are a ton of PFs in that range. Even getting the 10th pick would be amazing.

😂Agreed, but he’s 2” shorter. More of a 2-3 than a 3-4.

I thought they were the same. Just checked now at Basketballreference, Justin is listed at 6'6" and Julian at 6'7". Not sure if there is somewhere better to check for proper heights?

Cant say I was ever a big CJ McCollum watcher but I figured at this point in his career he would be more of an off ball shooter secondary ball handler type. Instead he's in full hero baller mode, which again is a bit surprising for his age and as the president of the players union. One would think there would be more maturity to his game and approach by now. I guess not.

I heard him on a podcast a month or two ago. He actually sounded like he has a bit of an ego and doesn't like taking a back seat. I always thought he's super humble, but it sounds like he has hero ball tendencies.

All I can say is, keep it up! lol

Edit : Just had a thought. Do you think the Hawks will try trading him? I hope they don't.

Hawks defensive issues weren't only about Trae Young. Their front-court defense is quite bad. OO isn't a good rim protector and Jalen Johnson is a poor defender. Offensively, teams will even more focus their defensive game plan on Jalen Johnson and it will be tough for him to overcome that. Dyson Daniels shooting like crap is hurting them too.

Right now, there are 6 teams that are bad and/or tanking: Pacers, Wizards, Nets, Pelicans, Kings and Jazz.
Hawks are in a tier above alongside teams like Bulls , Bucks, Hornets, Mavs, Grizzlies... Too good to tank and too bad to win a playoff series.

Best realistic case would be Hawks finishing with the 7th worst record, which would give a 32% odd of having a top4 pick.
Worst realistic case, would be Hawks making the playoffs through the play in and Spurs getting the 16th pick.

That's a huge swing in what the pick could be if they make the playoffs. Hope they don't, BUT can't be greedy. They finish where they finish.

This is the last year that the Mavs control their own pick for a while,so they’re at least soft tanking. If the Grizz trade Ja and JJJ, they’ll probably go hard in the tank, too. I think the best realistic placement is 9, or 8 if the Grizz don’t blow it up.

The Hawks imploding this year would be amazing. Looks like it could be happening...although that team is too hot and cold to predict anything. Plus the East sucks so bad that it's probably hard for them to go much further down in the standings.

I'm working on my powers of manifestation and setting my sights on Atlanta delivering us Caleb Wilson. Every day we are one step closer to this master plan.

This is regression to the mean. They won a shit ton of close games last year, and now the chickens have come home to roost. They won above their expected wins last year, so let’s see them dip below this year.

Atlanta: 20-25, 10th place

Tonight:

  • Clippers 19-23 @Bulls 20-22 tonight. I think we want Chicago here to stay ahead of Atlanta. Clips will stll ascend.
  • Toronto 25-19 @ Golden State 25-11- vomit, but I want GS to postpone tanking for as long as possible.
  • Miami 22-21@ Sacramento lol
  • Phoenix 26-17 @ Philadelphia 23-18

Memphis completely crumbling in the clutch. 8-0 run by ATL to go up 6 with 4 min to go

For better or worse… city of Memphis really loves Ja. Will be interesting to see if he actually gets moved and the local reaction

MEM misses 3 of 4 FTs down the stretch and ATL wins by 2.
