Yeah that says re-evaluated in 4 weeks, not returning in 4
Different era, and he joined the core of a team that had been to the WCF, not a team intentionally ruined to win the lottery.Duncan did.![]()
The East needs a good team, so I’m fine with it tbh, even if it costs the SpursSweet lord I’m still wrapping my mind around Atlanta’s heist of NOLA. The Pelicans aren’t even trying to win right now. That’s a top 5 pick that’s conveying, wow!
The swap with us is an afterthought for them now lol.

So true.Honestly lol It’s so mind blowing that NOLA did that, I just can’t comprehend it, any average Joe could day within one second that it was a terrible idea yet an NBA exec green lit it lol
Sucks for that ‘27 pick too
Wasnt trae out last year for a short period of time? And atl went on a roll until they somewhat screwed the pooch towards the end of the year w trae back.ATL might be better without Trae....let's see
That was two seasons ago, when they still had Dejounte.Wasnt trae out last year for a short period of time? And atl went on a roll until they somewhat screwed the pooch towards the end of the year w trae back.
It's especially hard to understand when you try to wrap your mind around why NOP thought they had to specifically move up to #13 to get Queen. Was there someone else threatening to move up to ATL's pick to take him? Certainly the Spurs or Thunder weren't taking him at 14/15. Would POR have taken him at 16? Seems like they had their eyes set on Yang. MIN and WAS seem like threats to take Queen at 17/18. Seems like NOP could have gotten their man for cheaper. A damn shame it wasn't at #14 and our pick.Honestly lol It’s so mind blowing that NOLA did that, I just can’t comprehend it, any average Joe could day within one second that it was a terrible idea yet an NBA exec green lit it lol

) draft rights.
That franchise just needs to get sold to SEA already. The ownership groups is unserious when it comes to the NBA and let's asshats like Dumars do shit like this. Its completely unfair to Queen too, a 13th overall pick (not Top 5 or anything, mind you), who now has unreasonable expectation on him. Type of shit that can ruin a young man's career. Now I'm just pissed. It gets even worse.
Pelicans had '26 IND FRP.
Just a few days before Haliburton tore his Achilles they gave them back their pick in exchange for '25 IND and Mojave King (no, I didn't make that name up) draft rights.
Then they used that '25 IND which was #23 (Asa Newell) and their own '26 to move up and get Queen.
It wasn't just a random idea, Dumars was obsessed with getting him and made multiple moves to do it.
As of now '26 NOLA and '26 IND are sitting at #1 and #4 in '26 draft. That idiot Dumars traded both away to select a homeless man's Zach Randolph in 2025.![]()
He's a 6'10 C with subpar athleticism and no range.Even if you think Queen will eventually be a pretty good player he’s not worth all that
